Scary or just stinkin' cute??? I think it fits in the stinkin' cute category!!! I found the layout for my dragon online and made a few changes...like the Decorative Dots texture for my dragons' skin...and the nostrils (how will my cutie patootie dragon breath fire without nostrils?) and the eyebrows made with the Bird Builder Punch - they are the wings from the bird. Hello there and good morning to you! I am back with yet another project from our Craft Decathlon on Saturday. If you are a Pinterest fan you may recognise this card as it is cased from a couple of lollipop cards I saw on there! We punched out a large circle (1 3/4) and adhered 10 1 1/4 circles to it and then put the brad through the middle. The background card is the spotty paper that is turned the other way, I say paper but its more like card really. The sentiment is from the Sweet Cake stamp set and then we added another Jelly Bean brad! Hope you likey! Jules x Supplies Used: (All Stampin Up! Unless Otherwise Stated) 1. Card – Calypso Coral, Whisper White 2. Papers – Sweet Shop 3. Stamps – Sweet Cake 4. Embellishments – Jelly Bean Brads, Pool Party ribbon 5. Tools – Circle punches 6. Mediums – Lucky Limeade ink
Hello there, today I have a card to share that I made for my nephew for his birthday. He absolutely loves Lego so it made sense for me to try and make him a Lego themed card. I started cutting some squares and rectangles from Doodlebug cardstock (sadly this seems to have been discontinued now). I also then die cut multiple circles using one of the smaller dies from the Hero Arts Circle Nesting die set. I added Distress Ink around the edges of the shapes and then glued them together to look like Lego blocks. These were added to a 5.5"x5.5" card base. I then took the six from the PTI By The Numbers die set and cut this three times from white cardstock and layered them up. I also die cut a star from vellum using a Nestabilities die. I added the six on to the star and then added the piece to the card base. To finish off, I added a few Doodlebug Matte Sprinkles. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the card. Please click on the picture or wording to be taken to where I purchased it. Affiliate links are used on some products. Fantastic 3D Flower Card DIY for kids to make. See how easy these 3D Flower Pop Up Cards are to make. Love. Perfect for Mother's Day.
My youngest son was invited to a Lego Party the other week. It wasn't hard for me to work out what kind of card to make the 7 year old. I know there are a lot of these types of cards out there and this is my version. Hope you like it. So for this card I used Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green (I'll be sad when this colour goes). I used the Dotted Embossing folder from the Sale-a-Brations Collection as a base plate. The blocks were punched out using the 1" Square Punch and the circle punch from the Itty Bitty pack. I made two layers of circles to give dimension and then I used the white Gel Pen to add highlights and more dimension. I just glued the dots on using a liquid glue which makes it easier to centre them against each other by moving them around till they look right. The Birthday Boy absolutely loved it and I was pretty pleased too. So easy and fairly quick to make as well.

Make cute Carrot Nibbling Easter Bunny Cards with the printable template. These hungry bunnies are adorable! Such a fun Easter craft for kids.
I always get kind of sad at the end of May..... There are so many great products from our Annual and Occasions Catalogs that are retiring!! So....... I try my best to "play" with as many of them as I can before they go!! Here are a couple of great examples of Designer Series Paper that I'm really going to miss!! This first card features a Pineapple Punch card base, a layer of Night of Navy card stock and the star of the show..... that gorgeous Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper (DS). As of this blog post, this DSP is still available, so order it will you still can!! There is just something about this paper that I can't get enough of!! And.... I love those "pops" of color provided by the Pineapple Punch accents (like that great Pineapple Punch 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon). You can click on any of the images below to take you directly to my online store. Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper (RETIRING) 148795 Pineapple Punch 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon 146953 To finish off this simple card, we stamped "Thanks For That Thing You Did" in Calypso Coral ink on Whisper White card stock. This sentiment is from the All Things Thanks Stamp Set that we featured as our Product of the Week a few weeks ago. We die-cut the sentiment using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, then layered it on top of a 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" Night of Navy square and then a Pineapple Punch scallop square die-cut with the Layering Square Framelits. Finally, we added a couple of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to our sentiment. These fun, liitle dots are carrying over to our next Annual Catalog - yay!! All Things Thanks Stamp Set (RETIRING) 143089/143097 Stitched Shapes Framelits 145372 Layering Square Framelits 141708 Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots 148805 And..... here's another great example of a simple way to use your Designer Series Paper on a card.... For this card, we started with a Call Me Clover card base, then added two pieces of Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper (DSP) to our card. Again, as of this blog post, this DSP is still available to order (but it will retire on June 3). We also added a strip of the Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon to the card and adhered it at the front of the card behind the sentiment. Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper 146902 Crumb Cake 3/8" Classic Weave Ribbon This time, we stamped "Happy Birthday" from the Better Together Stamp Set in Call Me Clover ink. This stamp set is also retiring, so order it will you still can. It has some very versatile sentiments - and.... I love that there is an "outside" sentiment, as well as an "inside" sentiment, for many of these greetings :). We die-cut this oval, along with the Call Me Clover Scallop Oval behind it, using the Layering Oval Framelits. And, again... for that final, finishing touch, we added a couple of Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to our sentiment. So cute and simple!! As you can see...... just by adding some DSP and a sentiment, you can make a quick, simple cards, too!! Better Together Stamp Set (RETIRING) 141733/141736 Layering Oval Framelits 141706 We made both of these cards at our Simple, Beautiful Card Class this month. If you'd like to make fun cards like this with us, join us for the next..... Simple, Beautiful Card Class Simple, Beautiful Card Class Details can be found here. Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made from my youngest grandson's 1st birthday. There was a fun birthday party yesterday at Parker's house. Lots of fun, kids, games, good company, and delicious food. For the card, I saw this idea on Pinterest and would like to give credit to whomever designed it, but couldn't find out where it originated. So whoever you are ... thanks for the fantastic design! :) Isn't this caterpillar adorable?? It was a fun card to make. I cut out six - 1" circles from different colours of card stock and one - 1 1/2". I cut the same from foam and glued them to the back to add dimension. I sponged just around the outside of each circle to add some interest and then glued it onto my sentiment-stamped card front. I drew in the legs and antennas with a fine tip black marker. The googly eyes finished the card. I'm adding this to the current challenge at Just Us Girls (#396 - Die-cuts). The one below I made for Jer and Alex to give to Parker. Stamped the owl in archival black and watercoloured with my zigs. Fussy-cut the owl and placed it on my card front which had been sponged with gray, using a post-it note for masking. The balloon was cut with my Cameo, watercoloured with the same colours of zigs, pressed into my versamark pad, and heat embossed with iridescent embossing powder. I added glossy accents for the eyes of the owl and on the balloon to create some dimension and shine. Used some twine to connect the balloon to the owl and popped both up on my card front. I'm sharing the owl card with Paper Player #347 - Birthday - hosted by Jaydee. Haven't played along for so long. Thanks to LeAnne for letting me know about the challenge! :) Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
