What is this? In this ball I have used exclusively Japanese cotton fabrics of last design. Measures 7 x 7 cm ; 2,75591 x 2,75591 in. With it you can decorate the Christmas tree, or a special corner of the room. They are handmade balls by me, with the Japanese Kimekomi technique. His observation helps in meditation and concentration in oneself. Its weight is very light, because the interior is composed of poliespan. It is idel for a birthday, anniversary, or wedding gift. Very exquisite and elegant. It is an experience to have it in your hand. Exclusive, you will not find another like. This craft idea from Japanese KIMEKOMI craft. The history of kimekomi (pronounced kee may ko mee) dates back to the first half of the eighteenth century. Kimekomi originated with dolls. A wooden base was carved into and fabric was then used to decorate the doll-clothing, face, hair, etc. Kimekomi means “tuck in” in Japanese. They also may be known as “quilt balls” I made this with a chirimen material tucked into styrene form ball. I scooped out the inside for the box. This is a very delicate craft, don't throw it like a baseball! 5.5cm diameter

This is NOT a physical product. This is a digital product for download. Learn how to make kimekomi eggs! This tutorial contains detailed drawing instruction for 6 of my favorite patterns. You will also find step by step instructions for preparing your foam eggs, attaching the fabric and wrapping the ornament with decorative cord. The difficulty of the patterns ranges from the easy stripes pattern to an elaborate kaleidoscope egg with Celtic knot detail in the decorative cord. The tutorial is divided into 3 parts. In part 1, I describe a new labeling tool - the elastic divider. I'll show you how to make them and how to use them. Part 2 contains drawing instructions for 6 patterns (stripes, swirls, petals, diamonds, marbled, and kaleidoscope). In part 3, you will find detailed instructions for the different steps of the kimekomi method: preparing your foam base, attaching the fabric, and wrapping with decorative cord. Please note that because eggs are shaped differently, I have not added cutting templates for the patterns - instead I have included instructions for making your own cutting templates, and furthermore describe methods for working without cutting templates. This is a digital product. After purchase, a PDF file will be available for you to download on your Etsy profile. A download link will also be sent to you in the confirmation email. Please note that the Etsy app does not support downloads - you’ll have to sign into your Etsy account using a web browser. If you are having trouble with the download, please contact me and I’ll send you the PDF by email. 13 MB PDF file 47 pages
