About 7:00 this evening I decided to try the Arboretum for sunset. There were some nice clouds and it looked like we might get some good light. I have tried for years to get some kind of a shot of Meadow Lake. I've deleted just about everything I've taken. This lake is right outside the Visitor's Center, so there are paved paths and lights and signs and stuff everywhere, and I just don't care for that in my photographs. I finally found an angle that worked and got some nice light just before sunset. To the people who were on the far side and just would not move - you've been cloned! A few minutes after I took this shot the sun dropped behind a cloud bank on the horizon and the light never came back. If I don't get a better shot between now and the end of the month, I think this image will make a nice photo for July in the calendar.
