Artwork description: A reduction linocut of bright golden sunset reflecting over a lake. A reduction print is a relief print formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block, in this case, from lino. This is one of a small edition of prints, all of which are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original. This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit straight into a standard off-the-shelf 12x16inch frame. This artwork will be packaged in a bubble envelope with plenty of card support for safety. Materials used: Printed on Somerset Satin with water-based light-fast inks. Mounted to fit into a standard 12 x 16 inch frame. Certain motifs repeat in the decorative arts movement and its revival. These may be ancient, like the Celtic knot, or simply pretty and easy to stylize, like the iris. Most of the motifs come to us from nature and moderation and balance is key when decorating.

" Sun Screen" Giclee edition print - printed especially for you! The second photo from the top shows the print in the matte. The signature and title will be added per order, so that's not shown in the photo. I have also included a photo of what this might look like framed and hung in a room setting! image size: 8” x 10” matte size / frame size 11” x 14” A stock size frame should be easy to find, and you can just pop this print right in! Each print is signed and titled on the matte. Each print includes foamcore backing, mounted print, matte and is individually bagged in acetate. The mattes I use are all white – white reflects color from surrounding objects, so no matter where you hang this print or want to move it around your home, the matte will pick up reflected color from the room! Plus, it really makes the color in the prints pop. This print will be made specifically for you! Specifics: This print is reproduced from an original painting by me, Jan Schmuckal. It is printed in-house on lovely, Epson matte paper. I experimented with many different papers before I settled on this one: It is archival, water-resistant, fade-resistant, and has a beautiful richness! My prints are made using Epson Pigment Inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade for at least 120+ years. COPYRIGHT: I retain all copyrights to my artwork. ALL MATTED PRINTS SHIP VIA USPS PRIORITY MAIL - you are paying actual shipping costs plus materials for shipping. Please be patient with shipping delays caused by circumstances beyond my control with postal processing facilities. EVERY package I ship goes thru the Chicago USPS hub. No refunds due to shipping delays will be issued. I'm working hard to ship weekly to avoid any extra delays beyond my normal processing time. A note: if you live in an apartment building, and you MAY live in a building with good neighbors, or a doorman, or in a splendid neighborhood....but I can't tell that....so I will require a signature on orders shipped to an apartment or suite.
Update: With one exception, NONE of these quilts are mine and I can’t tell you about the patterns used or the quiltmakers, except as attributed (however, most quilt makers would be from Weste…

An original design by Genevieve, this Prairie style wall decor piece is a beautiful addition to your home decor. This wall/window hanger has a metallic copper paint finish, or you can upgrade the finish to wood. Genevieve has been inspired by many architects in the Prairie style, Arts & Crafts, Mission style, Roycroft, Greene & Greene, The Chicago Group, and more. Using stained glass panels as her inspiration, Genevieve designed this Prairie Style window or wall hanger with the future intention of making a colored acrylic, and eventually, a stained glass piece. Prairie School is sleek and contemporary compared to Craftsman style design. A light-filled home based on American comfort and casual lifestyle. Prairie School is the first truly American style of architecture. Prairie School architecture also integrates the home with nature, reflecting the surrounding environment within the home. ----- We create all of our wall and window hangings out of 1/8" US made engineered wood panels. The lightweight property of using this thickness means that one person can easily install any size of our hangings by themselves. No need for two or three people to install, unlike for the heavier products made out of 1/2" wood panels. It also reduces the amount of dust trapped in the design. ----- Because materials are natural, variations will occur. Each item is cut to order, please allow time for design, cutting and shipment. Hanging measures approximately 18" tall x 11" wide x 1/8" thick. Made in US using US sourced materials. We support small business when ordering materials. This item is made using FSC-certified wood from a family-run generational mill in the US. ----- We wanted to create a warm, inviting and sophisticated home decor to complement other Prairie, Mission Style, and Arts & Crafts style pieces. The copper color integrates this piece with so many other midcentury style items with copper accents. This will dress up any entryway, fireplace mantel, wall or window.
