Was blüht denn hier vor unserer Haustür?

This piece by Lizzie Thomas is magical, I like its casing, it reminds me of a tool box that is cherished and contains a precious piece of equipment. Also of course it is a paper cut, and it is trees, and it looks like it would have some movement.

I have started playing (due to lockdown) with little concertina books and a hole punch. these are easy to make and fun to play with. The first one was a line of animals all eating each other, like the old lady who swallowed a fly. The second one below has turned out looking very worried, but it was, when I started it, a sort of Boo! book. Books for kids to sequence images and tell stories are great for education can be simple or complex and most importantly can be great fun.
