Among the most beautiful custom bodies produced for Lincoln’s Model K was the two-passenger coupe by LeBaron, a fascinating example of “Classic Era logic” with seating for one couple and a weekend’s luggage on an immense 135-in. wheelbase chassis. The result was spectacular proportions with a relatively small, close-coupled roofline at the end of a long, powerful hood, balanced by a gracefully sloping rear deck. Only 25 examples of this design were produced in 1936, and just four of them remain in existence. The example offered here, in storage at The Shrine of the Holy Grille for some years, is an older restoration but very solid and complete, and would be ideal as the basis for a modern concours restoration.
