Can you feel the shift? On August 8th, we welcome in the opening of the Stargate. As we ALL know, these past few months have been INTENSE. As we've witnessed some Radical planetary retrogrades, we are also seeing our world shake up. We are calling in change. We are calling in a new earth. We are calling in more love. But first, we must be grounded and we must want this for ourselves.

“In like a lion, out like a lamb” has always seemed a straightforward enough proverb: when March starts, it’s still winter, and by the end of the month spring has begun. True, in many climates the weather hasn’t quite reached the lamb stage by the end of the month—it’s more like a surly cat, maybe, […]

I finally met the one who would love me fully, just as soon as I let go of the one who wouldn’t
Time for some eye candy! Here come my favorite new artists I've found this month: Geneva B (aka GDBee Art) does the most amazing things with color, and I can't get enough: Go browse her online store here - prints start at just $6! - then follow her on IG for more goodness. ***** I just discovered Grace Merewoods this week thanks to my friend Steph, and I am enchanted: Tell me I'm not the only one who swooned. I never thought I'd want to frame a drawing of a frog... until now. Don't all of these look straight off the walls of Hogwarts? Go check out Kimera's Etsy for prints and stickers, then give her a follow on IG to see all the drool-worthy originals she paints on wood slices, like this: MAGIC. ***** From what I can tell Julianna of PeanutButterJuliTime only posts her art on Instagram, but lets hope she offers prints someday - because LOOK HOW SWEET: I'm officially a puddle over here. I could look at this all day. Julianna's feed is mostly a mix of creepy/cute fantastical beasts, all done in dreamy watercolor rainbow blends. The further back in her feed I go, the more heartbroken I am that she doesn't sell prints. Look at this ridiculous cuteness! AAAAAA! Is that a hedgehog puffer fish? And a zebra lion fish? Quick, go follow Julianna on IG to see the rest (I could keep picking favorites forever) and beg her to open a shop! ***** Full disclosure, most of Hannah Webb's art is too creepy for me - lots of drippy eyes and teeth - but I loooove her bold colors, and the way she paints with rectangles: Plus her bugs are cool. Right? Seriously, her style is AMAZING. Oh! And her "Polaroid" prints of dogs are frickin' hilarious: DYING. The two bottom rows are totally the best, right? Bahahaa! Hannah - aka The Obanoth - doesn't offer many other prints, but her online store is chock full of reasonably priced originals. Go see, then follow her on IG for more! ***** And last but not least, Charlotte Trimm does paper cutting art in a fresh, fun way: I like how she combines rainbows with black silhouettes, it's so punchy. And look at this one! OoooOOOOooooh. Would you believe that's a print? Most paper cutting art seems to lose something in print form, but Charlotte's still seem to shine. Rainbow seahorse. I repeat, RAINBOW SEAHORSE. This is not a drill. I'm also smitten with her pared down rainbow rocket: And, of course, the alpaca: D'awww. Go browse Charlotte's online shop to see all her prints and originals, then follow her on IG for fantastic close-ups and rainbow-licious eye candy. Now, let's give away some art! As always, comment below for a chance to win your choice of free art from my Pinterest Art Give-Away Board. In addition to one wild card winner, I'll also pick two more of you to win these: Signed 8X10 Baymax print by Chris Butler And a signed & mounted 5X7 Ariel print by Bianca Roman-Stumpff. So be sure to tell me in your comment if you like either/both of those, and I'll enter you in those drawings, too! I'll announce all 3 winners in my very next post, so remember to check back. Unclaimed art will go to the fastest commenter on Facebook, so you may want to follow me there, too. :) Oh, and I'll ship anywhere, so internationals are welcome! Happy commenting! UPDATE: The give-away has ended! The winner of Baymax is Ebany The winner of Ariel is Melody Tenney And my wild card winner is BSM7! Congrats, you three, and please e-mail me your mailing addresses!

Via en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_Monument The Lion lies in his lair in the perpendicular face of a low cliff — for he is carved from the living rock of the cliff. His size is colossal, his attitude is noble. His head is bowed, the broken spear is sticking in his shoulder, his protecting paw rests upon the lilies of France. Vines hang down the cliff and wave in the wind, and a clear stream trickles from above and empties into a pond at the base, and in the smooth surface of the pond the lion is mirrored, among the water-lilies. Around about are green trees and grass. The place is a sheltered, reposeful woodland nook, remote from noise and stir and confusion — and all this is fitting, for lions do die in such places, and not on granite pedestals in public squares fenced with fancy iron railings. The Lion of Lucerne would be impressive anywhere, but nowhere so impressive as where he is. — Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad, 1880
