Whether you're a gamer, a photographer, a comic book lover...or all of the above...when you share your interests and passions in your senior pictures, your personality will SHINE!
Kevin Dockendorf describes himself as a "big-time choir nerd" which makes me smile and relate as I was always in choir and musical theatre. He also played tennis competitively until his junior year. Like most teenage boys he most enjoys hanging out with friends and video games, but ask a musician what their favorite music is and you have messed with their head. He couldn't begin to list them all, so he settled on Twenty-One Pilots... right now, but his favorite genre is alternative and he'll listen to almost anything. It seems like Kevin, like most of my favorite kids list "kindness" as their favorite personality trait. How cool is that? His favorite quote is: "Expect the unexpected," and his favorite memory is precious to all who love animals. "Losing my dog and then watching him come back down our street later that day. That was a good memory." Here's some perspective from his mom, Tammy: Since infancy, Kevin has always been such a sweet boy with a kind heart! One of the first activities he started (at 6 weeks old) was Kindermusik. He absolutely enjoyed the variety of music, being introduced to rhythm/tempo, and using music to relate to cultures and emotions. We would sing and dance to the fast paced music all day and rock him to sleep to the lullabies at night. I recently found his lullaby album and was shocked when Kevin said he remembered a lot of the songs. Meanwhile I am in tears as those days seem like yesterday. ;) Kevin followed the kindermusik program all the way to the end and followed it up with choir at school. Being around peers and musical role models has heightened his love for music. Even though he has done soccer, basketball, swimming, and tennis - music was always with him through it all. He currently enjoys being in the all male á Capella group at school, musicals on stage, and countless vocal competitions throughout the year. Kevin is a true friend, animal lover, environmental supporter, character builder, Christian follower, and the BEST son we could ever ask for. We can't wait to see where his collegiate future takes him. Many endless thanks to Lisa for putting on film the love we see in him everyday!

Connor is such a great kid! Most boys do not want to have their photos taken. They're doing it for their moms, and just trying to get through the process because they love their mamas and have been threatened a tiny bit. Connor seemed all in. If he was going to do it, he was going to have fun, and make it count, get some great shots that show off his terrific personality and celebrate this wonderful time in his life. This handsome guy is headed to UT Austin next year and with his IQ and Emotional IQ, I see big things in his future! Southlake Carroll had a fantastic soccer season and finished with some hardware due in large part to their senior class. Jake McKinney was part of that leadership senior team and will have memories for a lifetime as a result. He's headed to Baylor University in Waco, Texas to study this Fall and I think his family is grateful that he won't be TOO far away and that his mom can continue to root for her alma mater! He's played soccer his entire life and played other sports growing up as well. My favorite smile is when he's not trying to smile but instead is laughing or smiling at something funny. I post to Insta every day @LisaMcNielPhoto Let's just go ahead and get this out there... Walker Cain looks like a young Paul Newman. Youngest of three brothers, Walker has always been competitive and up for any sport or challenge that came his way! Growing up, he played everything from soccer, golf, hockey and baseball, but ultimately landed with football and lacrosse as his primary sports. He plays Varsity Football as a Wide Receiver for Coppell High School. His mom describes him as extremely funny, easy going, and always surrounded by friends. Walker is a Varsity Football and Lacrosse player and Eagle Scout. He is a member of Young Mens Service League and was selected for Coppell Teen Leadership. He's following in one of his older brothers' footsteps to University of Texas in Austin next year to major in Sports Business. Remember that when your son is preparing for senior pictures, it's a great idea to invest in a suit. Be sure you pay attention to the shoes and SOCKS! They have become a signature piece for guys and can show personality. The stylist where you buy the suit should be able to help you. Don't be afraid to ask for a few serious shots on your son. He might even prefer those, and you'll be able to see his eyes better when he's not smiling. But then again, there's nothing quite like a natural smile if you can get one! I love to get a series of different expressions as my seniors interact with a parent or friend. If you do a shoot with me, I'll want you to wear flats (because we walk a LOT), but also bring your lipstick so I can get a photo of your baby and you together.
I've known Maddie since her freshman year when I did senior photos for her older sister. I was just starting out, but somehow Maddie had faith in my work and kept up with me throughout the years. I was so excited when she decided to be one of my senior reps this year because she is exactly the kind of person I want representing my brand. Maddie is a huge self-love advocate and has recently overcome an eating disorder. She is full of fire and she is so strong. I know she is going to do amazing th

Spencer is graduating from Alcuin School in Dallas and heading to Southern Methodist University in the Fall. He's a terrific basketball player and absolutely NAILED his senior session, mostly due to his warm, outgoing personality and open communication skills. His favorite songs are Legend Has It by Run the Jewels, and GOD, ELEMENT, and LOVE by Kendrick Lamar. He plays basketball, runs track and plays golf, and enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games and more basketball in his free time. His favorite quote is "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." - Wayne Gretsky Follow me on pinterest here: lisalovespics To see more photos from senior photographer Lisa McNiel, click Dallas-Photographer or follow a DFW-Senior-Photographer on Facebook. Here's a little of his mom, Beth Saada's perspective: One of my biggest joys for the last four years has been watching my son, Spencer, play basketball. He has played for both his school and on a league. He is an amazing, coordinated athlete who is involved in and is quite capable at more than just basketball but basketball remains his favorite. He handles the ball with such ease and exudes confidence on the court providing all the spectators a great time watching a little basketball. Never does he forget that he is one of a team of players and demonstrates the finest sportsmanship. Nor does he ever forget that it IS a game. His improved basketball skills and ability to work with a team over the years epitomizes Spencer’s growth as an individual. He is a leader both on and off the court. As he finishes up his senior year, I stand and admire the incredible young man my son is and look forward to the next game!
