There's nothing like Christmas in (almost) July! This week's Custom LEGO Accessory Spotlight focuses on the Moose Antlers, highlighted here by Brother Steven's depiction of caribou (not quite reindeer but... close enough!). The beauty of this accessory is that it serves its purpose as an immersive piece to add to your animal or half human, half animal figures as is the case with the Minotaur Head the antlers are mounted on here. But they also pass the test as an addition to the Viking Helmet to really show off their Norse roots and tie the whole theme together. The Moose Antlers are available in black, white, dark grey and brown and can be found in the Horns or Vikings sections of the store. Merry Christmas?
Back in August we brought you the incredible LEGO recreation of the Lord of the Ring's Helm's Deep Battle that took Rich-K and Big J, 150,000 LEGO bricks
There are few in the castle genre that haven't heard of David Hensel, AKA Legonardo Davidy, and there are a great many outside the theme (and AFOL community) that have marveled at his creations. His unorthodox, fluid and organic style is eye catching and splendid, and he is a pioneer of building tec

Orcs are a very misunderstood creature, often thought of in lore as evil, dirty, and generally not all that nice! But just because they prefer the freeness of loin cloth over a nice pair of pants doesn't make them evil. Sure they pillage the villages of the various, hapless, fantasy realms from time

Description shall be added tomorrow, as I am in a rush right now. This was built in approx. 5 days, although I will admit that I built the entire top three floors+roof today. Bad picture is... bad :P More pictures that may or may not be slightly better, as well as my official entry can be found here: www.mocpages.com/moc.php/405380. Oh, and the turbines are attached to an EV3 brain thing, and they can actually turn at three different speeds :D
Hello! Here is my build of Beorn's House for my Hobbit Project! It took me 4 months of building (5 months total), is around 7,500 pieces and the maximum base size is 105 x 56. It was a ton of fun to build and I am pleased with the result. :) I was gonna bring this to BFAL, but that was 4 months ago. This is my first build of the year, and the first post that I actually built in time of having a flickr account. With this and one other build, I will be taking a break from my Hobbit Project for 2-3 months to build regular castle for a while. :) Some great inspiration came from builders like Patrick B and Simon NH for all the tools and animals on the ground. For the house itself, I got most of my inspiration from Weta Workshop's model, but I also looked closely at some of the great builds of Beorn's House by Dunedain98, Patrick B, and Caleb W's build for Caleb and Graeme's collab Hobbit Project which you should check out. :) Also, a huge thanks to the guys who helped me with all 20 WIPs I sent throughout the building process! :) I hope you enjoy! To my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be the glory! :D
Just a quick build.....I would have spent more time on it but that would eat into my Skyrim time.

Entry for Round 3 to the 2015 Tourney on MOCpages! (Description now with 100% less links)
How can a MOC be fun and ghoulish at the same time? There's something really charming about this mini diorama by vitreolum . Clean architecture, nice proportions, pleasant color use and interesting silhouette. But then you notice you're actually looking at a graveyard, oh and Death is sneaking up o

My build for Round 2 of The Tourney at MOCpages. Halhi141 gave me several ideas for this build, including the 'mirror'. This build is based off of the real Chillon Castle from Switzerland, in particular this section: brickbuilt.org/Castle/2015/Chillon/small.jpg It's the first castle I've done that is pretty realistically scaled. On the first floor is an armory, and on the second floor is Lord Chillon's room. The layout was rather challenging, as were the roofs, but I'm pleased with the final result. The thick walls let me use some new window and arrow slit designs. I experimented a bit more with my SNOT wall design, as the tower gradually gets thinner. The bartizan (overhanging corner turret) is my first, and I'll probably be doing lots more of those in the future. Be sure to check out all the details here: brickbuilt.org/2015/Chillon-Castle.php

Work in progress for a mostly timbered building.
A free build for Guilds of Historica over on Eurobricks. This was one of the funnest builds I’ve done in a while, and I quite like how it turned out; particularly the bright color scheme. Inspiration from Mark of Falworth’s Seaside Harbor: www.flickr.com/photos/mark-of-falworth/8208862341/in/fave... See more pictures on brickbuilt: www.brickbuilt.org/?p=3825
Ralf Langar's (@ranghaal) expert use of the color red in this cottage scene has got me thinking about symbolism. My HS English teachers would be so proud!
Here is the second creation I built for the Jedi Fallen Order collab by @brickzlabofficial . This one however wasn’t built in 3 days. I built this over a few weeks. I was inspired by the video game especially the Nightbrothers village. Most of the pieces in this MOC were acquired trough LUGBULK with @rebellug . Was really fun building in these, different colors. Hope you like the build stay tuned for a full overview on my YouTube channel tomorrow.
The colours were inspired by a book I saw a few years ago; a black and white house with red bricks. So my motive is different but it's pretty much the same idea: it's meant to be kind of a cover for a crime story. That tree took me maybe half an hour. Easy and fun. The house was much work though. I left some parts open in the back so I have still light shining through but it's pretty much solid and has 4 walls :-) I figured out a striking technique for the roof using chain links but in the end I just left it blank using open studs. I think somehow it works here because it empasizes the smooth curves. I finally could use all the red flower parts (4 on a spruce) I bought years ago and it turned out I didn't have enough for a large tree. Therefore I used other parts as well an mixed some techniques but those 4 on spruce part are still the best :-) It's also actually the very first time I used black and white for a half timbered house. That might sound trival, but using another colour usually means you have a totally different part selection. Fortunaltely it's the other way round with black. All the parts I usually need for half timberes patterns are there and also tons of other ones. I tried some half timbered techniques in the back I haven't used before. Also experimented with strings connected to studs but didn't use them. Also weapons might be useful and interesting for half timbered stuff.
