This bead soup mix is made with glass beads, plastic and acrylic beads, crystal beads, pearls, czech glass beads, metal charms and pendants, and mixed charms and pendants. Each scoop is 1/4 cup and 2.5-3.5 ounces, depending on the beads. Each scoop is randomly picked, I do not hand pick the beads. One scoop is $5.00 , plus shipping. 20 cents are added onto shipping for each scoop you get, as the more scoops you get the heavier your package will be. The artist's lampwork glass cones are made by melting Italian glass rods with a torch and embellishing the surface with glass frit. They were then tumbled to give them a satin finish. The beaded beads on the top are enameled metal beads woven with fishing line and a needle. Sterling silver findings.
Avventurina is a Murano glass-making technique developed on Murano island in the 17th century. I was first mentioned in a document dating from 1614 as "a kind of stone with gilt stars inside", at which point it already mesmerized people with the unusual and attractive look. The technique owes its name to the fact that its discovery happened by chance thanks to a lucky coincidence, when a glass artisan is said to have accidentally dropped some metal shavings into the glass mixture. Italians say it happened "all'avventura", which in Italian means "by chance". The resulting look is one of richness and elegance, reminiscent of Venice, Italy. Each bead is made by hand therefore sizes and exact shapes may vary slightly. Sizes are given in approximate millimeters and/or inches. I choose closest matching beads per order of multiples. Beads are sold individually unless offered as a set in the Quantity drop down menu. Beads are photographed in groups to highlight unique qualities, details and color/s. Measurements are slightly over .50'' (19 mm) in diameter for each disc. Length of the strand will be roughly 4.25"-4.50" (107-114 mm). Please give me 2-4 weeks to finish your beads. For all the purple lovers out there, this is a must-have! Handmade glass beads are accented with sterling silver beads, fine silver spacers, and a signature tag. The beads are strung using a 49-strand braided and coated metal wire for strength. The toggle clasp is embellished with a dangle bead, which adds balance when worn and allows easy clasping. Some variation in shading and bead sequence will occur, but each piece will reflect the same style and color palette. Finished length will be between 8 1/4" and 8 3/4". Please note, the glass used in this design will subtly shift colors with different light, more bluish in fluorescent, and rosier in incandescent.
