There is a lost town that many Georgians don't know about—a town that was once a mecca for gold rush enthusiasts looking to strike it rich.

If your mental picture of Ibiza doesn’t include rolling rural landscapes, consider this: the world-famous party town got its start when the first major nightclub, Amnesia, opened inside a former farmhouse on the road between two villages. Ibiza has been Mecca for European club kids since the seventies. But before that, it felt a lot like any other lovely island in the Mediterranean — and vast sections of it still do. Ca Na Xica, a boutique hotel set slightly inland in a peaceful olive grove, captures the leisurely charm that drew sophisticated travelers to the place before the club wave. Captures it, in part, by recreating the look of a traditional finca, or farmhouse, though the building only dates from 2006. You wouldn’t guess it when you’re pulling into the place — located between the towns of San Miguel De Balansat and Santa Gertrudis, a few miles from the beach — in your rental car. For all its contemporary comforts, including a brand-new spa and restaurant for the 2015 season, Ca Na Xica radiates old-world elegance, Spanish island-style, the villa’s white arches reflected in the still surface of the swimming pool, the aroma of orange and lemon trees in the air. Of the twenty suites, four are located in the main house, and the rest in adjacent low-lying buildings. Each is individually decorated — think warm tile, cheerful yellow walls, crisp white linens, hardwood French doors leading to private terraces where you can take a couple of hours lingering over breakfast and admiring the views. Premier Suites feature more space, wider views, and perks like Nespresso machines: handy, as you’re in the country, not in town. Indeed, Ca Na Xica is about peace and quiet: the rowdiest is gets here is sangria by the swimming pool, and that’s just how the hotel’s repeat visitors like it. Should you desire more social stimulation, the nearby villages and beach towns offer a range of bars, cafés, and restaurants. Or stay in, so to speak, and order some charcuterie on restaurant’s terrace. You’re in Ibiza, sure, but if you want to skip the nightlife scene altogether, we won’t tell. How to get there: Ca Na Xica is about 23 km by car from Ibiza Airport via PM-803, C-733, and PM-804.
Finally: Tsujiri, a heaven for green tea lovers, is ready to open their first Metro Vancouver location, and have revealed an opening date for their Richmond shop.
The place is exactly as cool as it sounds like it'd be.

You might think that decorative cut glass would look dated and completely out of sync with most modern decor. Like china place settings, lead crystal is often given as wedding gifts or inherited from relatives, and seems like a relic of a different time. Or does it? Here are several ideas that use bar decanters in fresh new ways. In the lead image above, notice the table lamp made from a cut glass decanter, seen in this Scandinavian home from Skona Hem.

Miami is known as a tourist mecca. Of course, there is the cruise industry with millions of passengers heading to South Florida every year to set sail. But from its famous beaches to sporting events and more, Miami is a tourist destination all its own. That's good news if you are looking for an inexpensive Miami hotel. With so many people coming into the area, there are hundreds -- if not thousands -- of hotels. That means there is a lot of competition for your business, driving down prices and making Miami a surprisingly affordable place to stay, if you
Hello, Friends! Thank you for visiting my blog! Valentine's Day is almost here! For me, Valentine's Day is synonymous with romance....what better way to indulge than with lovely lingerie? I thought it would be fun to have a few gal-pals over, and all go on a shopping excursion to one of my favorite shopping haunts in preparation. Ever since the first Victoria's Secret ad campaign I saw in Vogue Magazine waaay back in 1989, I have been a fan. In the campaign, a gorgeous woman is walking up a beautiful cascading staircase in a floating robe, telling the handsome man at the bottom of the staircase, "Shhh, I have a secret (I may be paraphrasing here)." The campaign was brilliantly done, a sort of soap opera, and I was instantly hooked. This is how I set my table as a sort of homage to the brand. First, I set this black tablecloth. Next, I placed these pink chargers. On top of the pink chargers, I set plain black plates. Down the middle of the table, I set four bags of faux pink rose petals. Shown here. Next, I created a small floral arrangement using this pink vase. I filled the vase will a small amount of heart-shaped gem beads. Here is the arrangement. The arrangement consists of faux black peonies, faux pink roses, and faux pink columbines. Closeup. Next, I placed a flute at each setting with a plain black napkin inside. Inside the flute, I placed tiny roses. I removed the roses off of a simple rose spray. Here is a closeup. On each chair, I tied a double-loop bow with this sheer pink ribbon. Shown here. Finally, I placed silverware in the traditional dinner style and one of these mini Victoria's Secret themed name-place presents at each setting. To view the tutorial about how to make these, you may visit the post in my blog The Crafting Table by clicking here. Here is the complete Tablescape. Closeups of the setting. Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic shop is mecca. Even if you've been here before, it's the pilgrimage that you want to take again and again. And it never disappoints. I was lucky enough to take too many pictures, and this post is the first in a series of three. Because Rachel's Santa Monica shop has three large warehouse type rooms organized into loose themes of living/dining spaces, fabrics/accessories, and bedroom/linens, I decided to show each separately. Whether you are a fan of her particular style or not, there is undeniable beauty everywhere you turn. I walked through the front door to be met by a cluster of gorgeous fluffy pillows shown in their best light, and was already overwhelmed! Just look at these combinations! The pink toile is my new favorite. Everything is soft, soothing, and exciting all at once. The spaces are open and spare and show all the furnishings off to the best advantage. The varying finishes of the mirror frames coordinate exquisitely. Graceful chandeliers adorn each room. A few expertly selected vintage china and accessories add warmth and depth. Come on in and have a look around. . . . Snowy velvet pumpkins. Vintage alabaster and new lace. This vintage china and silver in the front window takes my breath away! I was so stunned I forgot to check the mark. It all leaves you a bit speechless don't it? This room was my personal favorite, and I was tempted to leave my best for last. But there's plenty of gorgeous still to come. Stay tuned! I hope you're having a lovely week! Jacqueline Join me at Faded Charm~White Wednesday
