With Plantscape, creative studio Supaform explores the way plants not only survive but also thrive in a hostile environment. In a subtle reference to a post-apocalyptic scenario, this modular installation looks like an architectural structure taken over by plants. The different modules take inspiration from urban conditions. From gaps between parapets and concrete buildings to thin cracks or empty spaces in ventilation hatches, Plantscape recreates a part of a city in a small-scale installation. The modular design also allows the user to arrange the units in various ways. By planting favourite species of plants, you can easily create a one of a kind living installation. The design features cues from post-Soviet architecture, with limestone and brass providing a play on tones and textures. A conceptual piece as much as a creative planter, Plantscape ultimately highlights the plants’ quest to find a way to the light; to survive. Not to mention that it also looks like a perfect gift for an architecture and design lover.
