En este nuevo post os muestro mi nueva maceta-escultura decorada en trencadís; la última de mi colección de piezas originales como decoraciones de jardín. Esta pieza ha sido todo un reto para mí, con sus formas entrelazadas que miran al cielo. Mi primera idea y metáfora del proyecto era la visión de una enredadera subiendo hacia las nubes, colorida y llena de fantasía. Como mi anterior maceta-escultura, he continuado “pintando” con azulejos de tonalidades verdes, amarillos y blancos, con detalles de piedras y cristales coloristas como contraste en azul, entre el trencadís. Con formas muy entrelazadas, su realización ha sido muy elaborada, mi intención era tener un resultado y acabado muy especial. Pieza escultórica, única y personal como decoración de un jardín. This design was inspired by my horticulturist sister. I wanted to create a pattern featuring the plants and work she loves so much. I hope others can also enjoy making up this magical garden pattern! This pattern uses overlay mosaic crochet technique and is written in English, using US crochet terms. This digital pattern is 3 downloadable PDF documents, including both written row instructions & pattern charts. The instructions and chart are for just the main design, not including a border. My sample blanket measures 125 x 200 cm (49 x 79 ins.) not including the fringe or a border. Though you can make a smaller or larger finished item with less or more repeats. Some knowledge of mosaic overlay crochet technique is recommended. The pattern includes simple instructions on mosaic overlay crochet technique and for reading the chart, but does not teach how to do mosaic overlay crochet. Needed for this pattern: You can use any yarn you like, just make sure to use a similar weight yarn for both colours A & B. This type of pattern works best with contrasting colours. Rich metallics of bronzes and coppers work their magic in kitchens and bathrooms. Mosaics are versatile and have always been in style. They are a brilliant way to add an individual touch to your home in so many different ways: as a splashback, a shower wall, a decorative wall feature, an accent within a neutral scheme, to provide a contrast of colour or texture. Extreme caution must be taken when using metal mosaics in an electric shower. Always consult a qualified electrician before installation. If the grain in the metal is directional, wake sure that the grain is going in the same direction for all mosaic sheets otherwise it will affect the appearance of the installation. Mosaics containing or made from copper are not suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, showers and wet rooms or exposure to excessive moisture. When exposed to air and moisture the copper may, over time, form a patina of Verdigris (a green coating). We recommend sealing before grouting and then again once the grout residue has been removed.
