Taken by Joanne R. Delp, and borrowed from "Finger-Picking Styles for Guitar" by Happy Traum, first published by Oak in 1966. Elizabeth Cotten, who grew up around Durham, North Carolina, would perform occasionally at an annual Fourth of July festival (called Festival for the Eno) there in the 1970's. Doc Watson was there a lot too. Anyway, I wonder if I ever saw her, because my family used to go all the time.
