I have to say, my favorite in this house has to be the stained glass, and the flowers that are everywhere! Also my favorite: the awesome marble floor. The delicate railings, the sweet pink and floral wallpapers remind me of sugar and spice and everything nice. I am sure Miss Muffet is positively delighted to live in this house. No spiders allowed though ... tame or otherwise!

Is there anything more magical than the tiny world of a doll's house at Christmas? Miniaturist extraordinaire Lucy Clayton introduces us to her latest creation
My new dollhouse is called "A Place to Create." It was commissioned by Deby. Like the last dollhouse(La Maison de Ville), it's another modified Ballerina Cottage. But this one has a French door. And this dollhouse is furnished. A workshop/craft room downstairs and a place to relax upstairs. Nothing is glued down. Not even the curtain rods. I just used putty. The only piece I didn't make here is the chair. But I did paint it and added a cushion. I love this blue wallpaper! I found it in the scrapbook isle at Hobby Lobby. It's such a great shabby chic backdrop. I made this large work desk. It's 6" long with 3 working drawers. That's a little trash can next to the chair. I made most of the stuff on there. Just not the glass jar or coke bottle. Deby works with papier mache and also sculpts. So I put some clay, flour and unfinished pieces there. My little watercolor set was super easy to make. I cut a rectangle piece of clay and pressed the end of a square stick into it to make the indentations where the paint goes. The paintbrush is also made of clay. That little measuring stick was a gift with mini purchases. Came at the perfect time! I made a shelf to hold crafting supplies. And I made a miniature sewing machine! I had not tried before and I didn't think it would work out. But it did! I just cut out the shape in a block of clay. Let the clay dry and sand. Then I cut out a base out of wood and sanded it. Attached with hot glue to the top piece. Paint and gloss. Done! A cozy bed to rest. The covers are glued down to give a messy look. Essential for coziness! Here's the place empty. Another fun little build done! Ready for a Gigie update? Gigie had a cold. I took her to the vet last Friday. She got a shot and eye drops. She never acted like she was sick. But her left eye was watery. So I took her in just to make sure nothing serious was going on. She's fine! :) Of course she's taken to sleeping in my all white, Pottery Barn linen bedding. LOL! The girl's got taste! Thank you for dropping by! hugs♥,

My sweet shop is finally done. Lovingly named BB Sweets with my grandson in mind, who calls me BB. I didn't keep track of build time because I paused a few times while working on this. This was made from a kit by Greenleaf called the Brimble's Mercantile. I've been thinking of a bakery for several years, so to get to the end and have this completed is a real joy. I spent many nights in front of the TV rolling tiny candy, making tiny cupcakes and cakes, making boxes with labels and filling tiny jars full of colorful treats. As you can see it's very detailed on the inside, but the exterior was time consuming as well. Brimble's Mercantile by Greenleaf I always imagined my bakery with a striped awning on the front. I was able to use the wood roof structure that comes with the kit because of it's shape, all I had to do was add the hanging tabs. They're actually snipped off tongue depressors, and the measurements worked out in my favor because the stripes lined up almost perfectly. The siding was measured, cut, and glued on one strip at a time. The shingles were cut and painted, then applied one by one (no fun around the dormers!). The structure sits on plywood that is extended on both ends. I used this space to create extra patio area, with faux brick on the front and stone in the back. I used Paperclay for both ends. The major endeavor was the exterior staircase. The original kit intends for the stairs to be on the inside. I didn't care for this idea because it took up a lot of space, both downstairs and upstairs. I sealed the two windows off downstairs as well, I needed the wall space. I moved the staircase to the back of the building, and was able to keep it the same shape with the upper landing close to the upstairs window. I made the window into a door and then built a landing with railings. Made a few adjustments on the bottom level and it lined up pretty well. Once I can grab the perfect sunlight hitting the bakery I'll post proper interior detailed photos, and create the video. I'm finding that flash photography doesn't do this justice. Getting excited about my next project, The Mint Julep! Thanks for visiting! ~ Mini-Shack

My Little Piece of Heaven is a one of a kind dollhouse conservatory creation with all furniture made by hand. 1/12 scale. It's available in my Etsy shop: www.cinderellamoments.etsy.com This conservatory comes fully furnished. The house has 2 battery operated lights: a porch light and 1 chandeliers inside The light switch and battery are hidden in the vines on top of the conservatory. This piece has lots and lots of added embellishments outside and inside. This little bow with roses is so cute! This piece is 11 3/4" deep x 11 3/4" across x 14" tall. The exterior has white flowering vines and plants that gives this conservatory it's true romantic charm. The working front door has handmade doorknobs. Fully trimmed inside. Everything is perfectly aged to give that very vintage feel to this cozy place. Inside the conservatory is fully furnished. This include and handmade bed, tables, bench, and assorted accessories. The little chair is the perfect place to sit and work on dreamy projects! The bed oozes with comfort and coziness. The windows all have window treatments. (Everything you see in the photos is included with your purchase.) I love making these tall paper hats. They add so much whimsy. This birdcage was in the jewellery making department at the craft store. I just added paint and aged it with ink. The little house is made with paper clay. This chair came with a dining set. I added trim and a pillow. Again painted and aged with ink. The bench at the end of the bed is something I do all the time. So easy to make. Just a rectangle of wood and 4 spindles. I made this wreath a little while ago. Stuck a paper clay house and handmade roses on it. The floors are aged white wood. The crystal chandelier is handmade, battery operated. The bulbs should last 1500 hours. After that you will need to clip out the bulbs and twist the wires of the new bulb to the wires going to the ceiling. The bedding is magical. It has a netting with glittery stars. I love adding ruffle pillows. All the roller shades are made with white cotton. Spray them with hairspray or starch for a realistic effect. If you are interested head over to my Etsy shop. You will find the link to the right of this post. I hope you are all having a wonderful time.

I did my annual Christmas gingerbread dollhouse. In the past they have been traditional Christmas colors. This year pastels! It's called "Maison Pain D'epices" and it's available in my Etsy shop. The dollhouse is 20" tall x 19 1/2" deep x 16" across. The house is made of wood. Then to get that cookie look we used plaster and paint. The icing is all plaster piped out just like with real cookies. There are lots of tiny ornaments available at craft stores. The little wreath was a plain green one. I added loads of white paint and a pretty pink bow. The snow flakes are ornaments for a tiny tree.(Hobby Lobby) And I hunted for beautiful beads that could pass off as candy. This house is furnished. All the lights run on batteries and the switches are hidden in the chimney. I had made the cupboard and island previously. I really wanted to see them in place in a house. This project was the perfect spot! I put some lights on the Christmas tree. I glued the switch to the base of the tree. These are nano lights. I love the stairs because they look so vintage and charming. Maison Pain D'Epices is available here: cinderellamoments.etsy.com I hope you love this sweet treat of a house! Back to commissions! See you next time. hugs,
Here is a new sweet little dollhouse I made. It's perfect for picture taking! The interior is so shabby chic and full of details that very shot is magical. This is a 1/12 scale custom dollhouse made from scratch. It is 16 1/4" tall x 14 1/4" long x 12 1/4" across. I made this one very feminine using pinks, whites and greys. All the exterior trim is grey. You can see the bricks pocking through the missing plaster on the side. I found this paper on Pinterest. It served as the inspiration for the whole cottage- soft, girly and vintage. The picture holding is just awesome to take pictures of furniture. It is such an elegant backdrop. The roses in the chandelier had to be soft pink! This little roof detail is grey. Hard to see in photos. I'm listing this one in my etsy shop: www.cinderellamoments.etsy.com Thanks for visiting! hugs,
