Hello all! Today i'm back again with a new Sketch Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to make a Birthday card just because i always seem to have a shortage of Birthday cards. Vandaag ben ik er weer met een nieuwe schets challenge van My Favorite Things. Deze week maakte ik een verjaardagkaart op één of andere manier lijkt ik er altijd te kort te komen! Ok this week i did some swapping with the sketch. I flipped it over and turned it 90 degrees so it would be a vertical card. Deze keer paste ik de schets wat aan, ik flipte hem zodat de rechthoek aan de andere zijde kwam en draaide hem 90 graden zodat het een verticale kaart werd. Using different colors of cardstock i cut the stripes and added them on to a Smooth White base card. Cut the cloud using Smooth White cardstock and added that on top. Heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice and cut it to a small banner. Stamped the bear and the balloons, colored them in using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Added some details using a white gelpen and added some Glossy Accent to the balloons. Stempelde de beer en de ballonen, kleurde ze in met mijn Copic markers en stanste ze uit met bijpassende Die-Namics. Voegde wat details toe met een witte gelpen en bewerkte de ballonen met Glossy Accent. Used Copic Colors: Bear - E57, E55, E53, E51, E50, N5, N3, R22, R20 Red - R59, R39, R29, R27, R24 Green - G29, G28, G24, G21 Turquoise - BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10 Dark Blue - B28, B26, B24, B23, B21 Blue - B04, B02, B00 White - C5, C3, C1 Purple - V17, V15, V12 Have a lovely day! Welcome to my blog and this new card for MFT Stamps. Here are the MFT products used in my project:- Plaid Builder Stencil Hunny Bunny Stamps Hunny Bunny Die-namics A2 Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics I created the pastel plaid background using the Plaid Builder Stencil and MFT Inks, I then die cut the panel using the second to largest die from the Double Stitched Rectangles Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment from Hunny Bunny then backed the panel with white craft foam and mounted it on a panel of Sno-Cone cardstock that I'd die cut one size larger from the same die set. This in turn was glued to a white A2 panel and to my card base. I stamped the large image from Hunny Bunny and coloured it with the following Copic markers:- Bunny - E43, E42, E41, RV00, RV000, Y06, Y02, T3, T2, T1, T0 Balloon - RV52, RV10, RV00, RV000, T3, T2, T1, T0, C00 I highlighted with a white gel pen and die cut and applied to the background with dimensional foam tape. To finish up the card, I die cut (without stamping) the mini clouds also from Hunny Bunny and applied with more foam tape and finished with a sweet glitter 'bobble' under each cloud. I heard Afro Blue for the first time when the choreography for the Dayton Dance Company ADF performance featured this track at Stewart Theatre back in 1996. I was mesmerized by the dancer’s hypnotic synchronized movement to this Afro Blue Coltrane track. Such an incredible tour de force the way it builds momentum, from a very subtle intro, middle, and crescendo (inspirational)!

Hello! The You Give Me Butterflies April card kit from MFT Stamps is now available for purchase. Today I'm sharing with you my second card (keep scrolling after this post to see what I shared yesterday using the kit. Here's what I've used to make this CAS card:- Peek-a-Boo Butterfly Die-namics You Give Me Butterflies Sentiment Stamp Set Such a simple card to make, I simply prepared two sturdy white A2 panels of cardstock. One I adhered to my card base and with the other I die cut using the Peek-a-Boo Butterfly Die-namics. I then carefully applied glue to the back of this die cut panel and adhered it to the other panel. I found a 'rainbow' of colourful cardstock scraps and die cut the Peek-A-Boo Butterfly once from each scrap and I then selected piece by piece to form a rainbow effect and for added interest I made the butterfly's body and a couple of areas of the wing tips a glittered silver cardstock. I carefully glued the little sections through the openings. I stamped the sentiment with black ink in my Misti so that I could repeat stamp for a perfect image and with that this CAS card was done! Today I'm sharing my final card for the March release by MFT Stamps for which I was overseas for but am now all caught up! Here's what I used to make this mini card:- You Rescued Me You Rescued Me Die-namics Stitched Eyelet Lace Circle Die-namics There's something so sweet and pleasing about a mini card and to create this one I die cut sturdy white cardstock twice using the Lace Circle Die-namics. I scored the top of one of the die cuts and then added scor-pal tape to the tiny section I'd created and adhered it to the other die cut circle. I grabbed some pastel Distress Oxide Inks and a small blended tool and softly blended a little rainbow of colour along a masked line which I then removed the tape from. I popped the card in my Misti and stamped the sentiment. I stamped the images from You Rescued Me illustrated by Jenoblade. For this I used Memento Ink in my favourite shade of Rich Cocoa. I coloured the images using the following Copic marker combinations:- Pup (left) - E37, E99, E15, E13, E11, C3, C1, C0 Pup (right) - E50, E51, T2, T1 Basket - E37, E99, E13, E11 Pink - R22, R20, R00 Bone - E44, E42, E41 Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and I added polka dots to the basket and I die cut using the coordinating Die-namics. The images were applied to the background using dimensional foam tape and a few sparkling clear sequins completed the scene.
