Remember the stereotype that all grandmas are tiny and sweet, spending days baking cakes, playing Bingo and knitting? Well we're here to prove that stereotype wrong.
The worlds smallest production car was built by PEC-The Peel Engineering Company, on The Isle Of Man between 1962 and 1965. The Peel Engineering Company were originally makers of fibre-glass fairing and small boats when they turned their skills into car production. It was called the Peel P50 and first retailed for £150. It is the only car ever manufactured on the Isle of Man. The Peel P50 was a three-wheeled microcar manufactured in 1963 and 1964 by the Manx Peel Engineering Company. It retailed for £199 when new and currently holds the record for the smallest-ever automobile to go into production. It was designed as a city car and was advertised as capable of seating "one adult and a shopping bag." The vehicle’s only door was on its left side, and equipment included a single windscreen wiper, and only one headlight. Standard colours were Daytona White, Dragon Red, and Capri Blue. The prototype for this model was referred to as the Peel P55 Saloon Scooter having one front wheel and 2 rear wheels – the opposite way round from the production Peel P50. At just 134 cm (52.8 in) long and 99 cm (39.0 in) wide, with a weight of only 59 kg (130 lb), the car holds the record as the smallest ever automobile to go into production. I must confess, I get excited every time a 'budget build' from a professional outfit lands in my inbox. The true masters are those that can do the most with the least—finding innovative ways to build bikes that are humble in price without sacrificing an iota of aesthetic prowess. This sharp little Honda CB360 from Federal Moto is a prime example. Despite only being the Canadian workshop's second build, it's loaded with attitude and ticks all sorts of boxes. It's based on two non-runner '74 CB360 donors that had to be Frankensteined into one—on a budget. “The client is a

While browsing the addictive LoudPop Voyager I stumbled across a bike I hadn’t seen before. It was an Opel Motoclub, an unusual 500c thumper from between the Wars. This machine was one of the highlights of the 1928 Berlin Automobil und Motorrad show: designed by Ernst Neumann-Neander, one of the pioneers of pressed-steel construction, it looked like no other motorcycle on the market. The metalwork was cadmium plated, and most of the leather and rubber was red—right down to the tires. Even more strangely, Fritz von Opel built a rocket-powered version too. According to historian Paul d'orleans of The Vintagent,

The Datsun 280ZX was known for being more of a cushy personal luxury coupe with questionable styling than a legit performance car. That’s what you might think, anyway. This is because you’ve never seen one built into a mad tight drift car, yo.
