Deep etching of plate images is perfect for beginners and professionals to create original stamped designs at home and salon. Each design is 5/8in (15mm) on 13/16in (21mm). Plate size: 2 3/8in (60mm) x 4 3/4in (120mm) How To Use Remove your new stamping plate from its packaging and remove the plastic protective film from over the metal. When you first receive your plate and after every use wipe clean your plate with acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover without oils. Сlean your stamper with tape by using the sticky side to remove dry polish. Quickly apply a thick layer of nail polish in a few strokes over the design you wish to stamp. Special stamping polishes are recommended but opaque nail polishes that do not dry very fast also work well. Try another polish if you are not getting results you want. Hold a plastic card firmly at a 45 degree angle and lightly scrape across the plate to remove excess polish. Try to only scrape once, do not push card to plate too hard and work as quickly as possible to avoid drying. Immediately after scraping, quickly transfer the design to your stamper by firmly rolling once across the design from one side to the other or pushing once straight into the design. If your image does not transfer you may need to work faster, scrape differently (less pressure or new angle), prime your stamper (with acetone or gentle nail file/buffer) or try another opaque nail polish that doesn’t dry very fast. Quickly transfer the image from the stamper onto a nail with an oil free and completely dry base color. With a squishier stamper push the stamper straight to the nail, with other stamper heads it might work better to roll it once from side to side to transfer image. Remove excess nail polish from your skin and cuticles by using a flat brush or cotton swab dipped in acetone or nail polish remover, you could use tape to lift excess polish from your skin as well. When design is completely dry on your nail, apply a layer of fresh top coat with as few strokes as possible. Place a big drop at the cuticle and hold brush parallel to the nail while applying trying not to touch the nail with the bristles, this helps prevents smearing. A blog about nail polish, nail stamping and nail art
It Girl Nail Art stamping plates are definitely a new brand that has ended my every growing stamping plate collection. I don't have many but I am so impressed with the quality of them. I do have a couple more plates that I still haven't used (yet) but I am excited to try them. Anyway, today I have three of their mini stamping plates to share with you. IG301 I love floral images! They are always among some of my favourite images to put on my nails. Do a buffet style plate full of floral images and you know that I am going to love it! Image from It Girl I wanted to do something bright and fun for this plate. I was going to go for my traditional sponged background (which I wish that I did do) but instead did a smoosh mani. I don't hate this mani but I think it could have been a lot better. Polishes used are Color Club Study Buddy, Cliff Notes, All Dolled Up, Tic-Tac-Toe and Playdate. IG306 I think this is such an interesting plate. It's kinda got three different images on it. I like the two larger images, but I am not sure I would use the long image (on the bottom right of the plate). Image from It Girl I think this lace design is one of those designs that speak for itself. No fancy backgrounds required. For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. IG307 Again, a floral buffet style plate that I really like. I like that this is more a delicate style of plate. Image from It Girl Keeping it simple for this next mani. Polishes used are China Glaze Too Much Of A Good Fling, I'd Melt For You and Silver Of Sorts. As I mentioned earlier, I am so impressed with the quality of the plates from It Girl. They all stamp perfectly. I think there are some great images on these mini plates, however for me personally I think I prefer larger plates. They offer more of a range of images and I find are a little bit easier. Or perhaps I am just more use to using the extra large plates these days. Have you tried It Girl plates before?
While I've had Girly Bits Get Weaponized for quite some time, it was still an untried. I know, I don't know what is wrong with me either! So shortly after New Years, it came out of untrieds and after I used it, I was disappointed in myself for not using it earlier! It's gorgeous! Definitely up there as one of my favourite polishes! For base polishes, used two coats of Girly Bits Get Weaponized with an accent of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Grey Matters, no topcoat. I see a sea foam green tint in Grey Matters, not grey at all, and thought it would be a nice accent to Get Weaponized. You can see the holo from Girly Bits Get Weaponized better! Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top before stamping on all fingers except the accent; I used the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat on it. New Pet'la plates arrived just before Christmas but I hadn't had a chance to use them because was heavily into holiday and New Year's themed nails. But thought I would try them out now that the holidays were over. So picked an image from Pet'la Golden Russian. I had picked up FunkyFingers Gesso and Black Knight for a friend when I was in the US last. When I was there, thought I would pick them up to try out as well. I hadn't used either one even thought I've had them for a while but she kept on telling me how well Gesso (the white one) stamps. So I dug out the bottle I bought for myself and have to say, I was thoroughly impressed how well it stamps! Especially for $1.67US a bottle! I've since used FunkyFingers Gesso a few times for stamping and have had great results every time! Pet'la Golden Russian (no names on the plates; I hope this changed in the future!) For the accent finger, it was looking mighty bare but I didn't want to do the same stamping. So decided to add a couple stones to it for interest. After I had placed them, top coated all fingers with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. But the Sally Hansen Gel Polish did not like this at all, it freaked out and went all stringy as you can see. Way to wreak a mani! I was so bummed! So again added a coat of the Miracle Gel Topcoat on accent and it seemed to like it better. This pix, you can see the holo a little better and the stringy lines behaved a little better. Overall, I loved how this turned out! It seems that no matter what lighting I used, I had lobster hands; good thing I never let this bother me! Thanks for looking!
PRESS SAMPLE For those of you who have been following me for a while (or have even read on of my stamping posts) then you will know that I have been on the hunt for more creme stamping polishes. Yes I know there are lots of creme stamping polishes available, but sadly a lot of these places don't ship to Australia. Anyway, fast forward to a few weeks ago and I received one of the most amazing emails from Bundle Monster asking me if I would like to swatch and review some more of their products. Of course I said yes (fun fact: Bundle Monster was the first brand of stamping plates I purchased and I have been shopping from their for years now) and was lucky enough to be sent four collections of stamping polishes and two sets of stamping plates. As you can imagine I was exceptionally excited when the package arrived - and spoiler alert: there are soooo many amazing colours! Today I will be sharing with you the Electric Glow Stamping Polish Collection. The Electric Glo stamping polish collection consists of six pastel creme polishes. Each of these stamp beautifully over both black and white and have a nice formula. They aren't too thick, or too runny and don't take very long to dry. I am actually very tempted to use these polishes in a gradient because I think they would be amazing. For all of my swatches I used a black and white base and BM-S179 stamping plate. Jungle Mirage is described as a neon yellow. This one confused me a little to begin with. In the bottle it kinda looks like it has a green tinge to it but on the nails it's definitely yellow. As it is neon my camera freaked out completely and washed the colour out of the white base. In person, you can see it and all of the details. Kandi Spirit is a pastel pinky-purple. Mercury Baseline is a pastel periwinkle blue. Monarch Dream is a pastel purple. Rave Babe is a pastel electric salmon. Tranceland is a pastel teal green. This is another on that my camera washed out a little over the white base. It is definitely easier to see in person than in my picture. I LOVE this collection!! The colours are absolutely stunning, the formulas are great and they stamp beautifully! You will definitely be seeing me using these polishes a lot! The Electric Glo Collection is available both as a set and individually from Bundle Monster. *edit: I am now a Maniology Ambassador! You can save 10% off your order at Maniology with the code OLIVIA10. Please note that I do make a small commission when you use my code (which I plan on then putting back into my blog - ie buying new products to swatch and review).

A gal in the Pahlish FB group had posted a few mystery Pahlishes and I absolutely fell in love with one of them. Little did I know at the time that I had one on the way to me from buying my own Pahlish mysteries so you would not believe how excited I was when my package arrived and I discovered I too got a bottle! (And low and behold I even got a backup bottle when I bought another mystery as yet another bottle was sent while the first one was in transit!) This is Pahlish Test Batch: Canyon Sunrise! Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Test Batch: Canyon Sunrise, no top coat. There is a very slight holographic to this dusty coral. There were no application or clean up issues. Added a coat of Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC before stamping. Stamped using an image from BundleMonster BM-XL206 using FunkyFingers Gesso placing it a little bit different on each finger. BundleMonster BM-XL206 While not overly obvious, added a little glitter sparkle using Sally Hansen Shake Shake then topped it all off with Girly Bits What A Rush QD TC. I think this will be an interesting polish as a base for some brown, mustard yellow or even some interesting greens stamped during the fall. Lots of possibilities even thought this isn't your typical colour! Thanks for looking!

Nude nail art is one of popular styles emerged recently. Well groomed nail in nude color looks clean and elegant.

1920’s flair and enough elegance to make a Flapper jealous! Get chic style with these designs that feature some open, light and airy designs as well as some bold and dramatic styles – all inspired by that most elegant of styles: Art Deco! We took inspiration from designs we found from architecture to fashion to create this brand new plate! The designs on this nail stamping plate are 17 x 21mm - some of the largest single designs we know of in the industry - and are built to cover edge-to-edge even the largest natural nail size. Small nails left out? Never! Our designs are crafted to not be so overwhelming or large that you can't see what is on your nail - even if it's tiny! T echnical stuff: The size of each plate is 9.5cm by 14.5cm and the plates in this collection have coordinating single images down the center, The designs are engraved on the image plates and can be used over and over again - never wearing out. The nail art designs can be applied using nail polish, stamper & scraper
Attention : Stamping plates do not work with regular polishes. You need to use polish for stamping plates otherwise the designs won't be transfered. The plate is shielded by a thin transparent protective film, please remove the film before use, so that the nail polish can be transferred by the stamper. HOW TO USE: 1. Apply base coat or regular polish on the nail. 2. Apply the stamping polish to desired image within a plate. 3. Make a scraper leaned over 45 degrees and scrape excessive polish off quickly and strongly from inside to outside. 4. Immediately press the stamper with a gentle rolling motion to pick up the design. The image is transferred on the stamp. 5. Stamp the image on your nail with a gentle rolling motion. The image is transferred on your nail. 6. Repeat the steps for all of your nails. 7. After nail art, apply top coat for lasting wear. PRESS SAMPLE What's Up Nails is a brand that I am sure you have seen (and most likely even purchased things from before) all over social media. They sell a variety of nail products from vinyls, stamping plates, decals, those multichrome powders....really the list just goes on. I have purchased quite a few of their nail vinyls in the past and have posted some manis to Instagram. Today, I am not talking about vinyls, I am going to talk about three of What's Up Nails newest stamping plates. If you know me then you know that I am always on the hunt for some new stamping plates so I was definitely excited to play with these plates. A010 Henna Enhancement I am a big fan of these buffet style plates and this one is no exception. I love that variety of the images and the details! Check out those details! There really are so many different looks you can get from this plate. Image from What's Up Nails I had a really hard time trying to decide where to actually start with this plate (it's one of the downsides with these buffer styles - they can be quite overwhelming) so I figure I'll start on the left side of the plate. For my base I did a gradient using China Glaze Grass Is Lime Greener, Too Yacht To Handle and That's Shore Bright. I stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. These images scream black and white to me. I think as a full mani it would look amazing but I wanted a little colour and a little bit of bling so when for a black and white accent nail. I used Emily de Molly's Eye's Only and Animated Heart, China Glaze Blanc Out and Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. B002 Watermarble To Perfection One of the things that I would love to be able to do is watermarble. It's always such a frustrating experience for me and no matter how hard I try it's 99% a fail. Best (and really only) option for me is to stamp water marble images. There are some traditional water marble images and some really cool ones. Image from What's Up Nails I was really drawn to the image in the right hand corner at the bottom of this plate. I have no clue why but I am so happy I used it. I wore this as a full mani for a couple of days because I didn't want to take it off. This mani looked awesome in person! Polishes used are Color Club Prim Rose, China Glaze Blanc Out, Pretty Serious Cosmetics and Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. Now this next image was giving me some oil spill vibes so I thought a multichrome base was the way to go. I just so happen to have some new multichromes that I have been dying to play with from Emily de Molly so really this mani was an easy choice for me. Polishes used are Emily de Molly Shallow Depths and Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. B009 Lost In Aztec I'm not sure if I have ever really mentioned this on my blog or not but I love tribal/aztec manis. There is something that is just so cool about them. I have tried quite a few times to freehand them however I'm not get at freehand. Luckily for me there are plates like this one! I did find that the images are a little wide for my nails so I do lose a little bit of the details. Image from What's Up Nails I think Aztec images always call for some neon so that is exactly what I did. I actually did this for a challenge mani which was for a pastel to bold gradient. For my gradient I used Grace-full Nail Polish Brooke and Orly Glowstick, and then stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. I knew I just had to do a radial gradient under this image, it was just a question of what colours to use. When I thought about the manis that I had already done for this post I thought that I had quite a lot of bright and colourful manis so thought I would go for something different - nudes! For my base I used China Glaze Pixilated and Bare Attack and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. I am so impressed with these plates. The quality is fantastic, the images are fantastic and they all pick up and transfer beautifully. I will definitely be adding some more What's Up Nails stamping plates to my collection! All three of these plates are available now from What's Up Nails.
