My Camp NaNoWriMo plan for July 2019 is to enjoy writing. Today I'm sharing some tips for my Camp NaNoWriMo plan to keep your writing on track.
If you've been hanging around here for a while, you probably know that I write for Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) in November and Camp Nano in April and July every year. The goal in Nanowrimo is to write a book of 50,000 words or more during the month. During the "camps" you can set your own goals, which can be words or hours, however many you like. During Camp Nano, you used to be assigned to a virtual cabin, a message board with a number of other authors, where you could chat with and encourage each other. Things have changed a little with their website overhaul, but it is still a fun even to participate in.
This Camp NaNoWriMo survival guide contains tips to help you get the most out of Camp NaNoWriMo, regardless of what your Camp NaNoWriMo goals are.
Like me, many of you probably just finished July’s Camp Nanowrimo session. Or, maybe you just finished being slightly annoyed by social media being taken over by Camp Nanowrimo. You know, whe…

I went into Camp NaNoWriMo’s July session with low expectations. My only word count goal was to try to hit 50,000 words as that would make it my highest word count month for this laid back, low goal year and be good practice for NaNoWriMo proper. As for what I was going to write, my […]
Camp NaNoWriMo is just right around the corner and if you saw my March Monthly Plan With Me you would have read that it is one of my goals for this month to prep for it and what it holds. Even though for the past couple of months I’ve included creative writing tasks in my monthly bullet journal plan, I have not found myself completing them. Also, for the ones who don’t know what Camp NaNoWriMo is I recommend you check out the post I mentioned of me talking all about it or check out the official NaNoWriMo website. As I said, I haven’t done much regarding my book series and I think that Camp NaNoWriMo is the perfect opportunity to change that and for that reason, I decided to create Camp NaNoWriMo Planning and Tracking Pages in my writing journal you may have already seen in my 2020 planner and journal line up.
Writers are gonna write! Every year there are three National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) events. Camp NaNoWriMo happens every April and July. The main event happens every November. If you're anything like me, you like to reward yourself for reaching goals. You want to encourage continued effort with small rewards and a big one when you've finished. Also, you may have many things you don't need more of. I developed this savings challenge to help me encourage myself to work and reward myself by saving money for my grand prize! With this challenge, you can save $200 or more by writing all 50,000 words of the annual event. With this digital download you get an A6 size printable and an 8.5x11 sheet that you can print and laminate as many times as you want. Instructions are included. All you have to do is get the envelopes to put your money in and a marker to color in each icon as you reach each accomplishment.

It’s July already, and this is the month for Camp NaNoWriMo. NaNoWriMo stands for ‘National Novel Writing Month’. Basically, every November writers take up a challenge to write 50,000 words in 30 days. But in Camp NaNoWriMo, the writers can take up any challenge, set their own targets and work towards that. My profile has… Read More »Camp NaNoWriMo and my humble attempt

National Novel Writing month comes only once a year, but you can always join Camp Nano in April and July too. If November is not good for you (the month before Christmas... some people are rather busy) or if you want to write several books during the year, then it's a great way to connect with other likeminded writers and join in the camaraderie.
