Your New Favorite Hoodie rom getting mankind into space and then to the moon, to launching the cutting-edge telescopes and space probes that help unlock the mysteries of the universe - the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has done some incredible work to help turn science fiction into science fact. We've paid tribute to their hard work with a space themed hoodie of their very own featuring the iconic 70s NASA Worm logo. To complete the retro look and feel of this hooded NASA sweatshirt - we've printed the graphic on a soft, white poly-cotton hoodie. About Historic portrait photography of the first man to fly untethered in space. Above the earth in 1984, NASA Astronaut Bruce McCandless and his Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU). Crewmembers aboard the space shuttle Challenger nearby used a 70mm camera to photograph McCandless through windows on the flight deck. This is an 8" x 10" vintage chromogenic print on RC paper, numbered in red type on recto: NASA (S84-27017) in upper left margin with the "A Kodak Paper" watermarks on verso (photo back). The “red number” NASA prints made in Houston are the only prints with red numbers. Houston was the terminal for the missions and the first to receive and print the NASA photos. Houston would later send copy negatives to the other Nasa centers across USA. And the other centers usually cropped the images, which were almost never printed 'full frame,’ and the balance of colors was also a little different. **** The value of vintage NASA photographs from the historic space missions, beginning in the 1960s, is increasing as the scientific community moves forward with innovations to explore distant galaxies, such as the development of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The Webb Telescope Is the latest milestone for NASA and space exploration. The deployment of JWST in space on Dec 25, 2021 from French Guyana allows a team of international researchers, using the telescope’s revolutionary hexagonal segments, mirrors, and infrared camera, to survey and study the stars, star clusters, and dust from the beginning of time, the early stages of the universe, at the rocket’s destination Lagrange Point 2 (L2), 1.5 million kilometers from earth. On Jan 24, 2022 JWST arrived and parked itself at L2. *** Available at 99Prints NYC an online art marketplace for today’s collector of contemporary art, works on paper, original and limited edition photography. Description: This picture of Neptune was produced from the last whole planet images taken through the green and orange filters on the Voyager 2 narrow angle camera. The images were taken at a range of 4.4 million miles from the planet, 4 days and 20 hours before closest approach. The picture shows the Great Dark Spot and its companion bright smudge; on the west limb the fast moving bright feature called Scooter and the little dark spot are visible. These clouds were seen to persist for as long as Voyager's cameras could resolve them. North of these, a bright cloud band similar to the south polar streak may be seen. The Voyager Mission is conducted by JPL for NASA's Office of Space Science and Applications. Identifier: P-35669

Fine art photographer Roland Miller (previously) has been documenting America’s space program for more than 30 years, obtaining exclusive access to the interior spaces of orbiters and rockets, as well as manufacturing, testing, and launch facilities around the United States. The Utah-based photographer has captured a singular vision of the space program with a hybrid of abstract and documentary imagery, from macro details of fabricated elements to spectacular shuttle launches at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Back in 1995, NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope documented the now iconic Pillars of Creation, a photo of a celestial area known for its staggering number of star formations. That initial image offered an illuminating glimpse of the interstellar stone-like columns made of gas and dust, although a composite recently released from the James Webb Space Telescope uses near-infrared light to highlight the region in even more detail. This new 122-megapixel photo features a deep-blue expanse studded with light, and the pillars themselves appear less opaque than in the earlier shot. More
