I finally received my Zoya order from their 3-free promotion! I was so excited to finally get it - not only did I get the three free polishes, I also picked out three from the new spring collections. As I am sure none of you could have possibly guessed, I had to get the blue polish from each collection! Here is a fun stamping manicure I did with two of my new polishes. I started off with two coats of Zoya Blu, a pale blue creme from the new Lovely collection. Application was fairly good and while I expected it to be somewhat streaky, I didn't really notice this problem. Granted, my bottle was still a bit cold when I put it on (I didn't wait long after getting the mail, haha). The color is very pale, almost chalky but not quite, making it unique among my collection of blue cremes. I love it! I used another new arrival, Zoya Natty from the fall collection, to add paisley print and some extra flowers using plates BM-315 and Konad m64 Very pleased with how this combination worked out.

(**China Glaze Press Sample**) Today I am sharing my Violet look for day Six of the #31DC2013. I had a hard time deciding what shade of Purple to go with... But once I landed on That's Shore Bright from the China Glaze Sunsational Neons collection, I knew I wanted to do something as cute and playful as the base color. I heart Purple (badum tssss)! More after the jump! #31DC2013 Day Six: Violet Nails Heart all the nails! For this simple look I started with a base of That's Shore Bright. Once my base was completely dry I started stamping. For the cute heart designs I used Pueen plate Pueen16 and Cheeky Plate CH14. I used Konad Black special polish for my stamping. I top coated with some Seche Vite and called it a day. My thumb was done to match my Ring fingernail. I absolutely LOVE the finished look and I am madly in love with this color by China Glaze. China Glaze That's Shore Bright This baby is a Pink toned, neon pastel Lilac/Purple. It is an AMAZING shade and it is so insanely flattering. I didn't find the formula on this color to be bad. The reviews for the Sunsational neons have been all over the place. The Two I have tried so far were not problematic. I used Two easy coats of That's Shore Bright for my base. This shade dries a bit satin-matte so a top coat is a must to make it shiny and extra smooth. I'm really enjoying my rounded nails! This comes as a surprise to me because for the longest time I thought I could not pull off rounded nails. That, and I had square nails for so long, I didn't know if I would know how to properly round them off.. but I kinda love them. They are actually the longest they have been in a while but I have current desire to make them short just yet. It is really nice having an extra bit of length for the upcoming challenge prompts. I'm curious to see how long I can go before I feel like I want to hack 'em off... *challenge accepted!!* Thanks for stopping by today and happy Saturday!!

Get ready for summer with this five-fruits nail art design tutorial, that's super easy and perfect for summer.
Hiya girls and guys! I can't believe we're already at Day 14 of the #33DC already! This is my first challenge, and I'm really enjoying it : D I'll be sad when it's over. The prompt for today is Abstract. This was one I was a little dubious about at first look, but to be honest, I think this is my fave challenge mani so far! I decided to do an abstract foil manicure, and you can see the base I started with above. I just applied the foil glue, and randomly applied the foils in different areas. Then I applied more glue, and did a second random layer. The photo above is without topcoat and the foils were really shiny. I don't have a proper foil sealer top coat though, so my foils went a little crinkly and lost some of their shine when I top coated. I wasn't too bothered though, as I knew I wanted to do some textured hearts in gold, blue and fuchsia over them anyway. I painted the outlines of the hearts with acrylic paint, then applied 1 more topcoat so the black wasn't really dull. Then I filled in the hearts with Rimmel Space Dust - Luna Love, Barry M Royal Glitter - Majesty and Seventeen Rock Hard Couture - Cameo Crush, then while that was drying, I added the borders with Rimmel 60 Seconds - Black Out and a striper brush. I really like the way the background looks a bit like a stained glass window, and the little silver star that's just visible on the middle finger near the cuticle. I loved everything about this mani really, even the lopsided hearts (intentional, to keep it abstract feeling, of course) ; D
Hey guys! Yes two posts today! This is like the third try of mine doing a Mustache Mani..still don't have it down yet! But oh well LOL Then I saw this mani http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/top-hats-and-monocles and I had to add little Monocles to mine! It didn't come out perfect at all, but that is what practice is for! And I of course had to take off my wedding ring to put on my Mustache ring to match :D Hope you guys enjoy! I used 2 coats of Deborah Lippman's nude ridge filler basecoat, and then two very thin coats of China Glaze-Cream Puff! Topped that with Seche Vite and then when dry I used Milani-Black Swift & Milani-White on the Spot with dotting tools to make the Monocle & Mustache :)
Today is the last day of the Digit-al Dozen Skittles challenge for this month. The ladies in the group have simply outdid themselves this week....the mani's have been fantastic....so creative and we a
Purchased Myself Hello readers, Today I have some more nail art to show you. I broke out the striping tape a some creme and glitter polish to create this look. I used Zoya Cosmo for the base colour and Zoya Natty for the colour blocking. To make this look I started with my Zoya Cosmo mani that I had already been wearing for a couple days. I added a coat of HK Girly top coat to smooth everything out and let it dry completely. I then marked out the are on the tip that I wanted to fill with my creme polish with striping tape. After painting the tip I removed the striping tape while the polish was still wet. I then waited for the tips to dry and repeated the process at the side of the nail. Finally I topped everything with another coat of HK Girl top coat. Photos show this mani in daylight spectrum lighting. Happy polishing, Michelle
