Stitch faster, neater and more accurately by parking your working threads on Needle Park Avenue(TM). This tool is great for projects with multiple color changes, blended needles, or petit-point. I designed, assemble and package Needle Park Avenue with my own two hands in my home studio. If someone you know owns one or someone else is selling this item - it was made by me! Of course I can't print and cut the white plastic part on my home inkjet or laser printer, but I have a wonderful US company do that part for me. ********************************** HOW TO USE: Use a Sharpie(R) fine point permanent marker to write the color numbers or symbols currently being used for your project on Needle Park Avenue(TM). Write below the printed thread but above the needle "bed". Be VERY careful, keep the permanent markers away from your fabric and fibers. Erase the marks when desired with a vinyl eraser or 99% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) on a tissue. Place Needle Park Avenue(TM) on the top of your ground fabric and the magnet beneath to hold it in place. Begin stitching with the desired thread color as usual. However, if you will need the color nearby, park the threaded needle in the labeled section of NPA and begin stitching with the next color. You do not need to end threads until the color is no longer needed, looks distressed or is too short to work with. ********************************** Needlework Tips: Do not carry thread more than the space of 1-2 stitches under an area that is not or will not be covered with stitches. Otherwise your traveling threads may show through on the front as a "shadow". For neater stitching on the front, work in rows, stitching each color as you come to it, thus eliminating isolated stitches* that can be easily detected by judges. The magnets used in this product are VERY Strong rare earth magnets, so use caution. * isolated stitch - a stitch by itself without neighboring stitches or a stitch of one color within a larger group of other colors. Needle Park Avenue attaches to your fabric, near your working area, with rare earth magnets. ********************************************* Join Our Mailing List and NEVER MISS an Update, Sale, FREE Chart or Coupon for Subscribers. https://www.margaretlee.com/email-list

The information I have about the embroidery in this photo is "German embroidery 1300" so other than that I have no information (that I know of) about the original hanging. It looks like it once had some color but it is badly faded. I chose this pattern because I like interlocking patterns and it is yet another variation on basket weave. The original looks as if the area where this pattern was used was all the same color, probably white, but I show it in a variety of colors to provide alternatives.
