Thanks for all of the love on my before and after! Sometimes.....when I don't have time to overthink a project it just comes together organically and is probably better than if I had my normal angst.....haha. The only thing that really matters is that my clients are happy:) I am headed out of town today to Asheville for a visit with friends....but guess what! I am taking a little detour to visit The Souther Living Idea House designed by the amazing Lauren Liess. How darn excited am I..... Anyway....I am already missing Cami. I don't have much today but I was searching for something on my computer and ran across this home from AD and it stopped me. It's full of interest and perfectly curated in my opinion. One of my most dreaded fears is that a room I design look too much like a furniture store. Everything new.....which is why I like to frequent flea markets to add a little crust.... The dark walls below are perfection..... I love the art over the sofa.....so unpredictable. I like the contrasting color on the walls below.....don't get me wrong I still LOVE white walls but sometimes I can go for a slight beige! This whole situation below. Below you can see that he used a natural rug and layered it with an antique on top. That is my fav. Even though this black marble would be a nightmare to keep clean.....especially in the shower I adore the way it looks. So rich and beautiful. It is designed by architect Gil Shafer and it gives me all the feels..... OK....thoughts? yes or no? What is on everyones agenda this weekend? I think it is supposed to be chilly in Asheville. I'm not ready for cold but seriously yesterday I was sweating all day. You know how it's chilly in the mornings and then it heats up to 80 in the afternoon. You would think at my age I would be wise to that little weather trick. Even though I would love to stay and chat more I have all kinds of things to do right this second....like pack and love on Cami:) Shaygottagetgoing

Café Society was a New York City nightclub open from 1938 to 1948 at Sheridan Square in Greenwich Village, and managed by Barney Josephson. Josephson created the club to showcase African American talent and to be an American version of the political cabarets he had seen in Europe earlier. As well as running the first racially integrated night club in the United States, Josephson also intended the club to defy the pretensions of the rich; he chose the name to mock Clare Boothe Luce and what she referred to as "café society", the habitués of more upscale nightclubs, and that wry satirical note was carried through in murals. Josephson not only trademarked the name, which had not been trademarked by the gossip columnist for the New York Journal American M, who wrote as the first "Cholly Knickerbocker", but advertised the club as "The Wrong Place for the Right People". Josephson opened a second branch on 58th Street, between Lexington and Park Avenue, in 1940. After that, the original club was known as Café Society Downtown and the new club—designed for a different audience—as Café Society Uptown. Legendary music producer John Hammond was the club's "unofficial music director". Courtesy Private Collection. Our wallpaper is three times thicker (150 microns) than any wallpaper from Etsy, Target, Home Depot, Wayfair, Amazon. In addition, we achieved the highest quality in the industry using HP production printing technology. Why does print technology matter? Previous technologies used solvent and eco-solvent, both of which contained chemicals with high levels of volatile organic compounds that destroyed wallpaper panels in a very short period of time. As HP Latex printing technology improved, it was able to eliminate the use of harsh chemicals and reduce material shrinkage. Today, our wallpaper production uses HP Latex inks that are water-based and chemical-free. Most importantly, this printing technology provides higher color quality, long-term color consistency and scratch resistance. WE DO NOT PROCESS MORE THAN 3 SAMPLES OF THE SAME DESIGN

The Neue Pinakothek (New Pinakothek) is an art museum in Munich, Germany. Its focus is European Art of the 18th and 19th century and is one of the most important museums of art of the nineteenth century in the world. Together with the Alte Pinakothek and the Pinakothek der Moderne it is part of Munich's "Kunstareal" (the "art area"). The new home of the Neue Pinakothek, opened in 1981. The museum was founded by the former King Ludwig I of Bavaria in 1853. The original building constructed by Friedrich von Gärtner and August von Voit was destroyed during World War II. The ruin of the Neue Pinakothek was demolished in 1949. Designed by architect Alexander Freiherr von Branca the new postmodern building opened in 1981. Ludwig began to collect contemporary art already as crown prince in 1809 and his collection has been steadily enlarged. When the museum was founded the separtation to the old masters in the Alte Pinakothek was fixed with the period shortly before the turn of the 19th century, which has become a prototype for many galleries. The delimitation to the modern painters displayed in the Pinakothek der Moderne was later fixed by taking the restart of Henri Matisse and the Expressionists into account (ca. 1900). Consequentially a painting of Matisse acquired by the "Tschudi Contribution" is displayed in the Pinakothek der Moderne. The so-called Tschudi Contribution in 1905/1914 led to an extraordinary collection of masterpieces of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Hugo von Tschudi, general director of the State Collections acquired 44 paintings, nine sculptures and 22 drawings, mostly from new French artists. But since public funds could not be used to purchase these works, Tschudi’s associates came up with the money from private contributions after his death in 1911. In 1915 the Neue Pinakothek became the property of the Bavarian state. A self-portrait of Vincent van Gogh was confiscated in 1938 by the Nazi regime as degenerate art and sold one year later.
