This surprise pop-out panel fun fold card certainly packs a WOW! It looks difficult but is really easy - don't we love that kind of card? I know I do!
Hello There ! A nice relaxed weekend for me this week, I hope yours is the same. It`s colour week over at the Simply Less is More Challenge and this time we have a fab combination of GREEN & GOLD I got a bit carried away and made 3 cards This one I`m more pleased with than the others. I started by sponging 3 different green inks onto white card and cutting out the circles with a Nestie die. The leaf is Poppystamps Lorelai Leaf cut from gold mirror card The Smile word is from Penny Black also cut from gold card This one is made from 2 shades of green and some gold paper with fern leaves punched out The sentiment is Waltzing Mouse stamped in clear ink and embossed in gold EP This one is my least favourite The stamp is from Penny Black stamped and embossed in gold EP onto dark green card. I made a panel for the front of my card and cut a circle into it with a nestie die. The sentiment is by Creative Expressions also embossed in gold EP My craft room needs some serious reorganisation. At the moment I`m at the sitting and looking at it stage. When I work out where to start I`ll let you know . Thanks for popping in...Lynne xxx

Good morning! I'm back, a little later than expected, because we decided to repaint yet another room in our home, which takes time and energy out pretty fast! Hopefully it will be worth the efforts after everything is done. I've made a few cards last week that I wanted to share with you today. I had a lot of fun playing with colors, patterns, flowers and gems... First one has a green theme. I just love these flowers! They make a great statement on a card. Used a decorative brad in the center of the flower. Number two is in blue tones. This one is a little more contemporary. It has an envelope that can hold a note or some cash if you wish... Number three is in pink with flowers, ribbon, rhinestones and hand cut banners - which made me want to make it a Birthday card. And number four is a scraplift from a card I found on Pinterest. I really liked this simple yet elegant design, so I just copied it in different colors and added a ribbon and enamel dots. So, that was one of the productive days last week. I really hope that soon we'll get everything back in place and organized, so I can start creating again... but right now it a big mess in all three rooms upstairs, since we had to move out all the furniture from one room, cluttering the other two. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your last week of July! And I hope to see you back here soon! Have a great day!
The challenge on CAS-ual Friday´s blog this week is to create a CAS project using black and white, plus one color of your choice! Here´s mine with the lovely Butterfly, Take Flight, from Technique Tuesday! Thanks!

Good Morning! The ColourQ has a new challenge for you! ColourQ #126 I love these colors. They remind me of the wallpaper my parents had in our kitchen when I was a kid. Great for 1970's wallpaper, but a challenge for a card. At least for me it was. I played around with the colors for quite awhile and couldn't make them work for me. I think the toughest part of using a set color scheme is coming up with just the right amount of each to make it pleasing to you. Have a great day. This is a repost after my first post of these cards somehow "disappeared"...so sorry for the inconvenience to all those who linked the former post or you found no cards when you went to the post!! I hope this one sticks around! Did you ever have cards that you never REALLY love after you make them?? When I have cards that I just don't much care for, sometimes I take pictures of them(thinking I may like them better someday) and sometimes I don't (I KNOW I will NOT like them better someday). I had two such cards that I made over a year ago that fit the later. Being that I had not taken pictures of them, I only have the picture that I thought to take, as my cards were on the "chopping block" of my desk with the gray one already having been sliced by my scissors... I didn't have any sentiments on them originally, and I just never loved the cards. What I do LOVE, is how wonderful this craft is, that you can, if you're careful, and somewhat crafty, can sometimes take the pieces off a card, and use them to make another. SO...I took the flowers, stems and leaves off of both cards and used them to put on NEW cards! OH...I almost forgot...these flowers were made with a snowflake die...yes, you heard right...a snowflake die from Poppy Stamps Boho Snowflake die set...FUN, right??!! Here's the white daisy, redone... These stamped/die cut sentiments by The Stamp Market are AMAZING!! I had never seen them until I was in Buffalo helping to clean out my parent's home, and went to Buffalo Stamps and Stuff! Can I just say...if you are a crafter in the Buffalo, Western NY area, you HAVE to get to this store...it is a cardmaker's dream, a WONDERFUL store with such an AWESOME selection of so many companies' products, and Sharon Klima was SO kind and helpful, I could have spent DAYS there!! I so wished I had had more time and days to come back!! You will NOT be disappointed with a visit to this store...I only wish I didn't live 700 miles away!! These sentiment stamp/dies are sooooo cool...the intricacy of these dies, really make it "look" like die cut sentiments, not just die cut stamped sentiments...LOVE them!! I stamped them with my MISTI so I could make sure they were really dark everywhere before putting embossing powder on the stamped sentiment. Here's a close up... The second was like the first, but with three flowers and a different sentiment... I DID redo the stems on this card, making them longer. The sentiments are layered on both cards, and the background is made with a retired Papertrey Ink Impression Plate, Simple Stripes. Here's a close up... Don't be afraid to take a chance and redo a card you may not love, and make it into something that makes you happy...and you love, like these do for me:)!! Simply done fun!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Yay! It's day four of the Papertrey Ink April countdown. I've been so excited to share some more of my new set Sketched Shapes with you that I just had to squeeze in a second blog post today to do so. So, please be sure to scroll down a bit and check out my first blog post of the day. My focus is on rainbows, and how perfectly this set showcases such a color combo. Check it out... First up, the trusty triangles... I seriously can't put these guys down! To create a super simple one layer card, all I needed to do was stamp the triangles in a slightly overlapping pattern and let the sketched design take over to give this project its WOW factor. Up close it really is a cool effect. But leave it to the hubby to step in, fool around and distract me from remembering to take a close up shot of that detail. Oops. :) Ha ha! Should I tell him that he has now made his first official appearance on the blog?! Circles and rainbows make for a very happy card. Here's another one layer wonder for you all today. Hey, I don't think I've mentioned the fact that there are fun circles in this Sketched Shapes set of mine. Three of them in fact... small, medium and large. They look great randomly stamped in a rainbow of colors! Well, that's all I've got for you today. Just remember... this stamp sets will be available for purchase through Papertrey Ink, beginning April 15th. In the mean time, I'd love to know what you think so far, so please feel free to share! Now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols, Dawn McVey, Melissa Bickford & Lizzie Jones have peeks to share with you of their newest sets for the month. Thanks so much for stopping by! Another card using the new YOU stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp's new Stamptember® release...have to say it again...LOVE this set!! I simply combined the die and sentiment stamps with a pretty piece of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye (Fancy That, I've linked it below, so you could see what it looks like, but it's no longer available from Simon...purchased at Hobby Lobby)...such pretty paper!! You COULD make this paper with some solid papers and some gold strips. The card is 6"x4"...I wanted to get the full height of each of the 4 colors! I glossy accented the "You"....here's a close up... Oh yeah...such great fun!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa InLinkz.com

Simple die cut HELLO card using Spellbinders Indie collection of stamps and dies. This card features a watercolor circle on a Color Splash Sheet for the card base, along with a die cut butterfly.
Come see a brand new video I've made to show you how to add shape to die cut flowers and put them together over a simple frame - WOW!
I used some of my triangles from die cutting the Simon Says Stamp Full Card Triangles Die for other cards, layered them, colored with Memento markers, and added a sentiment from the Flower Friend set to make this... Just randomly put the different sized triangles from top to bottom and tried to kind of fit them with the sentiment:)...THEN colored them with the markers...thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Hey crafters, hope you’re well! Today sees that start of a brand new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge and I’m sure you’re going to love it! The theme is Summer lovin’ and your miss…
I know you must be thinking, enough with the Bordering Blooms stamp set. This will be it for a little while and I will move on to another stamp set. I just wanted to feature this image again since it...
My mom called and asked for a special birthday card, and we discussed themes. We landed on 'beach'. At first I was toying with the idea of using a seashell stamp, but at the last minute decided on this... What do you think? Does it look like waves rolling into the beach? My husband didn't get that from it...oh well. The 'sand' is made by using a Sanding Block on textured paper, then using a distressing tool to pounce on some Desert Sand and Chocolate ink. (The white-core textured CS from CTMH is retired, but you could get the same effect by pouncing on some White Daisy ink first.) Always remember to ink on lightest to darkest. The waves were made by simply tearing the white-core CS across at an angle. So easy! Thanks for stopping by! Meredith Supplies: (all CTMH unless noted) Paper: Bamboo Textured CS, Twilight CS, Juniper CS Stamps: Happy Birthday (C1257) Ink: Desert Sand, Chocolate Other: adhesive, sanding block (from the Sanding Kit), stubble tool (from the Texture Tools), card base (Hobby Lobby) **all current CTMH supplies can be found on my shopping page linked in the sidebar**
Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by today! Happy last day of February! We asked our Wednesday challenge teamie Jenn Shurkus …
I am so excited to be a part of the Simon Says Stamp Summer Release Blog Hop today!!! This new release has ABSOLUTELY BLOWN ME AWAY with all the wonderful stamps and dies...AMAZING!! If you are anything like me, and love dies half as much as I do, then I'm certain this release will thrill you to pieces, as well!! There are OVER 20 new dies in all...PERFECT for creating fun and beautiful Summer cards and projects!! There are also 8 new stamp sets with flowers, all kinds of sentiments(PERFECT with all the dies) and adorable animals!! I LOVE butterflies...they are not only so beautiful, but they have a very special meaning to me, personally!! One of the biggest thrills I have when Summer comes, is seeing the beautiful Swallowtails and Monarch butterflies that flutter around in my backyard!! So... I thought it very fitting to make my cards (one turned into 3:)!!) for this blog using the beautiful new Devonshire and Chrissy butterfly dies... along with the BE and HAPPY sentiment stamps and coordinating die... If you know me...you know I LOVE RAINBOWS...they make me HAPPY!! I die cut the butterfly with black paper twice and adhered together. I used the solid Chrissy butterfly die to have a backing for the all the colored pieces I would be putting in the black die cut butterfly. Used a rainbow of colors, die cut in each color and pieced the colors into the black one. Die cut the sentiment and stamped following the butterfly's wing. I then used the the die cut colored butterflies left from making the first card and made a second card...what a TOTALLY different look, right?!... I die cut the butterflies out of the white panel and popped up the panel on the card with 1/8" EK success dots, making the panel really pop off the card. I used 1/16" dots behind the butterflies so that they would lay lower than the apertures. So... a fun, then whimsical and now, a more realistic butterfly... Die cut in black like the first card, then added royal blue paper into the cuts and dotted with white gel pen. Strips of diagonally placed paper...The possibilities with this gorgeous butterfly are endless...you WILL be seeing lots more from me with it in the future!! NOW...enough of MY fun, and on to yours!! Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a GRAB BAG filled with stamps paper and embellishments to one randomly selected commenter on every blog in the hop!! The giveaway will remain open until next Thursday, June 6th at 9PM! The winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp Blog on Friday, June 7th! You should have arrived here from the amazing Joy Taylor's blog, and although I am the last blog on the hop list, if you joined the hop somewhere in between, the next stop will be at the beginning of the hop and the Simon Says Stamp Blog! Welcome to the MFTStamps December Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days onTuesday, December 8 at 9 pm Central. I am showing you a ton of new products today because I could not help myself! The stamps and dies are so beautiful, you will want to keep making cards all day long! Which is fine, until your family needs to eat dinner, and needs clean clothes, and all those bothersome things. :D Die-namics Doubly Amazing contains two dies that both say amazing. I used the lower case amazing on this card and the upper case amazing on my second card. Both equally lovely! But it gets better than that with the new stamp set, Amazing. Perfect words to use with the dies. These sets are truly essential for card makers! To have a place for my die cut word, amazing, in Brushed Gold Card stock, I used the new Die-namics Stitched Hexagon STAX. How cool are they?!? After cutting two different sized hexagons from Sweet Tooth card stock, I inked the edges with Versamark Watermark ink. Then I sprinkled Gold Detail Embossing Powder on the inked edges and heat set it. SUCH a neat look! They look like these Christmas decorative paper plates I have at home. The flowers are fantastic! Mini Modern Blooms and Die-namics Mini Modern Blooms are smaller versions of the previously released, Modern Blooms. Its one set that I cannot put down, well, either size set! And the mixing and matching! Eeeee! Reading that sentence makes me want to run back to my work table and get stamping! See what I mean about all the gorgeousness being released!?! Look! More dies and stamps! I cut watercolor paper with a new set of dies called, Die-namics Leafy Greenery. Full of gorgeous leaves and leafy branches, this set will also become a favorite. I used inks that I turned into watercolor to add a unique pallet to my card. Lesson learned: When adding ink splats to your projects, wait until the base layers of color have dried. Otherwise you get a splat that has spread out with the water. Not cool. Its ok, but not my preference for look. And for those, who like me, cannot get enough of the artistic watercolor look, check out the brightly colored droplets in the background. They are from a stamp! Distressed Patterns contains quite a few images to create that amazing mixed media look, for those of us who don't have those skills! :D Visit the MFTStamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win! thanks for stopping by! ~kimberly Supplies for Amazing Flowers card, available December 8: InLinkz.com Supplies for Amazing Leaves card, available December 8: InLinkz.com
