Hello, lovely knitters! We've prepared a very unique selection of free knitting patterns for shrugs for you today!
I've wanted to design and make a knit circle pouch for quite some time, but the right yarn to make it with eluded me.... until now.
It started with the yarn, as so many times before. When I stumbled upon this beautiful, green, shiny yarn, made of 100% linen, it reminded me of Nuwara Eliya, the tea-region of Sri Lanka. In Nuwara Eliya the hills are covered in green, as far as your eye can reach. The teaplants are cut into softly rounded shapes and are hundreds of years old, soft to the look but rough to the touch. That’s what I wanted to interpret into my Camelia Tee, named after the teabush Latin name - Camelia sinensis. It’s oversized, softly draping over your shoulder, which are embellished with lacework resembling leafs. Linen, cotton or silk are perfect for this Tee, it gives it that weight and sense of flow that goes so well together with the pattern. The Tee has a positive ease of app 1.2”/3cm and is made to fit size 28 (33, 34.5, 38, 42.5, 45, 50, 56) “” / 72 (84, 87, 96.5, 108, 114, 127, 142) cm. Gauge: 24 sts 34 row = 4x4”/10x10 cm in stockinette stitch on needles US 4/3.5 mm You need 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins of fingering weight. Hope you like it and happy knitting to you all! Errata: Written instructions of Chart, Row 4 in version 1.4 reads: p1, k2, k8, p1, k8, p1, k2, p1 should read p1, k2, p1, k8, p1, k8, p1, k2, p1 Update has been sent to buyers 2014-02-17
Porthos, Baron du Vallon de Bracieux de Pierrefonds is a fictional character in the novels “The Three Musketeers” by Alexandre Dumas père. He and the other two musketeers Athos and Aramis are friends of the novel’s protagonist, d’Artagnan, and the four of them have many adventures. Porthos is the extrovert of the group, enjoying wine, women and song. Though he is often seen as the comic relief, he is also extremely dedicated, honest and loyal toward his friends and fellow Musketeers. As the story advances, he looks more and more of a giant and his death is that of a titan. The robust yet simple pattern of these socks fits his character perfectly. The patterns of my musketeer socks are just low-key enough to be wearable for all the men in your life, and just interesting enough to save the knitter from being bored to tears while making them. You can find the other 3 musketeer socks here: Athos, Aramis, D’Artagnan

The Comfy Cozy Shrug Pattern uses a simple variation on the garter stitch to create a loose, but stylish, knit shrug to add a nice layer to any outfit. This fun knitting project is knit flat, which means everyone can give it a try, whether they know how to knit in the round or not. This will be the perfect shrug pattern to ward off a cold breeze on a summer day.
