There is nothing new in the site of Swisshouse XXXII Rossa. This spiritual and physical place still resists any kind of commoditization. History and nature are combined together with each object placed on the site. The building is placed along a volume line spatially of the patrician house. The new volume is added to define the building axis conceptually and physically.

Zuperfici is a collection of furniture pieces and objects that investigates the materiality of an object through its surfaces. The starting point is the plastic laminate, a very thin layer of artificial material that changes and hides the structure onto which it is applied. Duccio Maria Gambi transposes blocks of Luserna stone from a plain and mineral essence to a domesticated object defined in its function by its surface material.Through this operation the surface is given a different meaning, becoming coveted through its alteration. MATERIALS: Granite, plastic laminate DIMENSIONS: 9,84"x6.88"x10.23" 25X17,5XH26 cm About Duccio Maria Gambi Trained between Radical Design and Milan’s architecture, grown up through multiple and heterogeneous experiences and professional exchanges in Rotterdam and Paris, Duccio approaches Design from a variety of directions. In his projects for Galleries, fashion brands and private commissions of bespoke furniture, he maintains a research-storytelling approach where every work stands as a momentary reflection in endless research on structures, materials, processes, which he carries on in his atelier and studio in Florence.

About Cotta tower lamp by Decio Studio made at alfa.brussels for Everyday Gallery, unique piece, 2019??. The piece belongs to categories: collectible design, functional art & art furniture. Decio (IT) shows ‘Cotta’, his unseen and undiscovered body of work. Decio studio’s ideal is to create a corner of a fantastic reality, an atmosphere both alien and familiar. Think of a surreal place where organic, sci-fi and industrial will mix. Like architectural spaces with a timeless feeling where neutral colors and natural textures meet with mysterious and welcoming shapes. A new-era nature both earthy and rational comes to life. A highly-architectonic corner of a fantastic reality. an interesting atmosphere, an exaggerated perspective… A surreal place where different height floors are linked by various ladders and steps. Sometimes doors take you to imaginary next-door places, sometimes ladders take out of the ceiling. The eclectic space mixes organic, brutalist, industrial… The set is detailed and rich, yet toned-down by neutral color and texture (concrete or fiberglass texture) It’s a great multilevel background for furniture displaying. Light-box windows and spotlights help emphasize the different spaces and create a sense of mystery/curiosity.
Only the most uncreative of people could say that it's impossible to find inspiration in everyday life. No matter how dull our daily lives may be, the things we experience the most, namely the general existential milieu of our lives, often come as inspiration if we look at them from another perspective. The most creative people usually thrive even in the harshest of conditions, which is the boredom of routine and the commonness of our environment. Even there, there lies a tiny lesson or a bit of inspiration, one only has to have keen eyes to see it.

When one thinks of space, various images play in the mind. Most of them from places visited, stayed in or dreamt of. Oftentimes from our childhood when one was more curious, more attentive and more interested in the immediate surroundings. These images maybe of an array of monumental arches, stairways ascending into muted light or a colonnaded verandah. Though it is difficult to trace the origin of these memories, they can be witnessed in flashes, while one sinks into nostalgia of old, half-forgotten events. Architectural elements from these memories can be used as a medium to freeze them in time. Re-play is a collection of such architectural elements, that can be organised as a collage to generate an overarching narrative of memories. Each element can be completed only in the presence of another and then another. Each piece essentially has a back, a front, a left and a right. These blocks when consciously put together create various mood absorbing spatial situations through texture, light and shadows of the poetic forms. The process of assembly is intuitive and revolves around the individual composer and his current state of mind. Thus, having no single expected outcome single expected outcome. The process is essentially a play of emotions. Re-play these oneiric moments by peeping into the miniature world that holds surprises at every bend and turn into memory lane. Size: Overall box - 190mm x 190mm x 129mm Each concrete piece is out of 48mm x 36mm x 36mm tall Weight: 750 grams. Inclusions:- 44 concrete pieces in the box.
