When he was in high school, James Rallison (cartoonist of "The Odd 1s Out") wasn't partying or winning football games like his older brother. Instead, he posted online comics. It has been over six years since he uploaded his first comic strip, and we thought it's about time we presented you his work. Just like James' nickname, they're a little odd. But in a good way. Dealing with a wide variety of themes, including romance, parenting, and many many more, the funny comics often take unexpected plot twists and turns, constantly keeping the reader guessing where the next panel will take them. James still posts his dark humor webcomics, although less frequently than he used to due to most of his time being occupied by a YouTube channel. Let's hope he can strike a balance between the two mediums. Scroll down to check out his fun comics!

I started with almost 100, but soon there'll be 1000 (depending on how much I want to avoid actual work)! Some are cheap shots, like using the words "gay," "dick," and "boner" when they originally meant something much different, or panels taken completely out of context for juvenile schoolyard tittering, and sometimes, actually very weird, completely IN context, takes on the relationship between the sexes from the viewpoints of the comic books writers and artists of '40s, 50s, 60s and 70s! You've probably have already seen a few that have been floating around the internet for years, and many are first appearing here scanned from my bathroom library reading, but you'll have 'em all gathered in one place, the M.O'C Blog, for your prurient viewing pleasure! A footnote about many of the "Dating Don't" series (which this is #13). Archie Comics went through a craze in the '70's where every other joke was "semen" related. The company was sold in 1982 and the new Christian owners thought that type of "humor" was in quite bad taste. Hence, not one of these stories have EVER been reprinted and back issues were destroyed, making these funny book hi-jinks almost impossible to track down! JK! Dating Don't #14! About A War Like No Other One of our most provocative military historians, Victor Davis Hanson has given us painstakingly researched and pathbreaking accounts of wars ranging from classical antiquity to the twenty-first century. Now he juxtaposes an ancient conflict with our most urgent modern concerns to create his most engrossing work to date, A War Like No Other. Over the course of a generation, the Hellenic city-states of Athens and Sparta fought a bloody conflict that resulted in the collapse of Athens and the end of its golden age. Thucydides wrote the standard history of the Peloponnesian War, which has given readers throughout the ages a vivid and authoritative narrative. But Hanson offers readers something new: a complete chronological account that reflects the political background of the time, the strategic thinking of the combatants, the misery of battle in multifaceted theaters, and important insight into how these events echo in the present. Hanson compellingly portrays the ways Athens and Sparta fought on land and sea, in city and countryside, and details their employment of the full scope of conventional and nonconventional tactics, from sieges to targeted assassinations, torture, and terrorism. He also assesses the crucial roles played by warriors such as Pericles and Lysander, artists, among them Aristophanes, and thinkers including Sophocles and Plato. Hanson’s perceptive analysis of events and personalities raises many thought-provoking questions: Were Athens and Sparta like America and Russia, two superpowers battling to the death? Is the Peloponnesian War echoed in the endless, frustrating conflicts of Vietnam, Northern Ireland, and the current Middle East? Or was it more like America’s own Civil War, a brutal rift that rent the fabric of a glorious society, or even this century’s “red state—blue state” schism between liberals and conservatives, a cultural war that manifestly controls military policies? Hanson daringly brings the facts to life and unearths the often surprising ways in which the past informs the present. Brilliantly researched, dynamically written, A War Like No Other is like no other history of this important war.

If the world ends I just about managed to forget you and you appear in a dream And you're even more beautiful there than I remember you being So I've come to decide fate is telling me you will not go And considering this I want you to know If the world ends I hope you're here with me I think we could laugh just enough to not die in pain and If the world ends it won't finish you You're not the type they could capture You flit like a flycatcher They can't pin you down They can't pin you down I my dream you were playing with buckets of sand And water was running through both of your hands And I don't think I ever heard you speaking I was too wrapped up in the dream I was dreaming And if the world ends I hope you're by my side I don't think with you here it would be too much pain And when you cry darling I wish you'd feel my love And your heart is way beyond capture You flit like a flycatcher They can't pin you down They can't pin you down - Guillemots
