These two (2) ounce 90 coe clear dichroic glass assortments have a mixture of both old and new. Some textures are no longer even made, and some of the colors were from special order sheets. Mainly CBS with some DichroMagic dichroic coatings. They're perfect for the glass fuser, jewelry designer or mosaic artist. The average size is 1/4" to 3/8". These 2 ounce assortments can have anywhere from 40-60+ pieces. If they were 3/4", you'd probably only get 20+ pieces. As stated, they are for detail work. I order in pounds of dichroic and spend time cutting them down so that every artist can see the beautiful nature of dichroic glasses. Please look at the picture of the glass compared to the size of a dime. These Odds 'n' Ends assortments are a great way to try a lot of different colors and textures. Dichroic glasses are a mix of both thin (2mm) and regular (3mm) thicknesses. As pictured, each assortment is different. Order more than one! Pictures represent the amount of glass a 2 ounce assortment purchase contains. A LOT of Dichroic for a great price! _________________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: As I cut the dichroic glasses down I add them to a large ziploc bag. When you buy an assortment you are getting a mix of old and new dichroic glasses that is added to weekly. I do my best to not jostle them in any way but inevitably there will be some pieces that could have scratches on the coatings. With the assortments having so many pieces, I do NOT hand pick each individual piece, but instead grab a handful and create a two ounce assortment for you. This is why each assortment is different!

I thought I'd show you some more of my garage sale finds today. I scope out yard sales for a lot of practical stuff like crafting supplies, clothes, kitchen tools, home repair stuff, etc. but sometimes just can't pass up some of the less "neccessary" items. Here are but a few. I found these old light fixtures with their beautiful glass for 50 cents each. My first thought was that I would turn them into nightlights but now I'm thinking I may have hubby rewire them so we can put them in the house. I love the one with the circles. I found this old wooden box that someone had handmade, (probably in wood shop or something since it's really crooked) at the thrift store. It was marked $20 on the back but I paid $2. My husband questioned my judgment on spending 2 dollars, but I thought it was kind of charming. I plan to hang this on my wall. I found this beautiful tin on the free table at a garage sale. It's silver and perfectly worn, rusted, and chipped. When I opened it up I saw that had previously held a heating pad. Wow! I'm not sure what they package heating pads in these days but I'm pretty sure it isn't in a fancy tin. Speaking of free tables, I found the beautiful wooden shutters that are now making their appearance in some of my photography on the roadside, free. They renovated a 1920s farmhouse down the road from us (side note: dream property...500 acres, barn, workshop, restored home, 70,000 norway pines planted in 1975...yes please.) and were dumping the shutters. These are assembled with wooden dowels rather than nails and they're perfectly weathered and grey. Love. Lastly for today, I picked up this awesome old book from 1941 and a silver bell from the 1970s. The book is filled with really interesting maps and some oddly outdated information. The bell was just pretty but I quickly realized that having a functioning bell in our house is not a good idea. Kids + loud clanging bell = migraine. What kinds of treasures do you look for?

Gather up some old junk, a side of a roadside dresser (this was written on it when I found it in pieces), (here is another project I made with the roadside dresser a few years back) add a little paint, and what do you get? A great memo board with lots of things to keep you organized. The metal magnet board is from ???, the note or photo holder is a vintage bill holder, and the "hooks" are a part of a door lock, a trowel, and a window closure or lock. A bread pan to hold mail and a doorknob plate thingy for a little shelf and even the junkiest girl (or guy) can get organized!
Like Lady Gaga's nose, these pretty products totally deserve a double-take.

Lighting a few well-placed candles in your home can create such a calm, intimate ambience. Tom Dixon's sculptural 'Swirl' candelabra is made from recycled powdered residue from the marble industry mixed with resin and pigment, so no two patterns are the same. It'll look so striking against natural wood.
After searching through the Leslie Williamson archives on her blog I came across this fantastic photo from the Handcrafted Modern book of the stuff on Walter Gropius’ desk. As I was routing around for more information it struck me that a fair few of the objects on the desk, mainly the stone and brass pieces, were made by the one and only Carl Auböck. Carl was an Austrian designer and painter he's regarded as one of the most accom …
