Due to popular demand, Please note Production Lead times are now 1-2 weeks. This means the latest your sign will ship is 2 weeks from purchase, BUT in MOST cases, your sign will still ship within a week. Oh My My Oh Hell Yes! _ Wood Sign This one is a fav of mine, I say this all the time when I'm excited or really dig something...LOL...I love the Gold Lettering, perfect statement sign! :) The sign measures 17.5 inches tall by 7.25 inhes wide and has a notch on back for hanging. The base has been done in Flat Black, aged & distressed and then letetred in Metallic Gold and finished with my hand rubbed Beeswax wax finish. This will arrive signed and dated. Would you like the sign a different color? Message me or add “Note To Seller” for color change at no additional charge! ORDERS ONLY: Once your full payment has been received, your sign will go into production. If you have any special requests or customization requested, please add your requests to the comment section on your order!! Turn around time is 7 days, but I am usually able to ship within 3-4 days of your paid order. I ship USPS and will provide tracking information when your sign ships. If you need it sooner, we can work that out, just message me. Each sign is made for you, so each sign is unique, no two are identical. All of my base painting & lettering is hand painted. Brush strokes may or may not be seen. All of my signs are Rustic & Primitive in Style. Due to the nature of the wood there will be variances in knots, color and cracks. These natural flaws in the wood are what make each piece unique with a character of its own. The size posted will vary from sign to sign slightly due to the nature of working with wood and sanding. Please let me know if your sign will hang outside, exposed to rain or water. The Beeswax Finish is okay in certain outdoors conditions, but it should never get wet. Covered porches are fine, but full exposure requires a different finish, just let me know in the Notes To Seller if you require your sign to be waterproof. ALL of my signs are made using NEW Clean Top Grade Knotty White Pine that was cut right here in the USA. All wood is ¾ night thick. My Pallet Signs are all made by me, using fresh clean pine, never dirty used wood. Wood screws & glue hold my pallets together. Each sign is hand sanded, painted and distressed by me, using many coats of paint to achieve that worn old look. My painting, aging technique & lettering is all Hand done. Small imperfections are part of the hand stenciling process, so you may see a slight imperfection on my signs here & there. There is a notch on the back for easy hanging. Made right here in the USA, in the Foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. Do you have some “Words” you’d like on wood? Message me, I can design anything you’d like and put it on wood. Most of my Signs can be ordered in a larger size and different color. Please send me a message with color request & size preference for a quote. Please feel free to contact me if you might be interested in carrying my signs in your store. All wholesale requests are welcome! You can find my Wholesale terms under my Shop Announcements Section!! Thanks so much for stopping by….
Our Kindergarten students have been learning all about the classroom percussion instruments. They've learned their names and how to play them with correct technique. Recently, they learned that we can categorize these instruments into 3 groups: Woods, Metals, and Skins. After learning to categorize the instruments, I show the students how we can use a shape to represent each group. I pass out the instruments and they have to group themselves according to their instrument and shape. Next, I show the students these Aleatoric Maps, created by my friend Charlotte, and they play their instrument as I trace the line. You can also trace from each end point as well as point slower or faster. We do several of these together and then I have a few students come to the board to make one collaboratively. Finally, I have the students work in groups to create their own maps. They take turns creating their line with a piece of yarn and then place the shapes (cut out on the die-cut machine) wherever they want. The student who created the map gets to be the pointer while the other students play. The students really enjoyed this and I loved seeing all of their creativity. It also gave me a chance to work one-on-one with any students who were still struggling with technique or playing on cue. Here are a few pictures of them hard at work in their groups:
