The collection is primarily based at the Heartland book collection by using Lauren Brooke and follows Amy Fleming and her older sister Louise "Lou" Fleming on their Albertan-based circle of relatives ranch, 'Heartland', wherein they live with their widowed grandfather Jack Bartlett, their father Tim Fleming and employed farmhand Ty Borden.
