Cymbidium Hybride White Orchid; this ground orchid grows robustly even in colder conditions as its roots are planted in the soil and, unlike most other orchids, it is supplied with nutrients. This orchid, which is a symbol of friendship and respect in Asia, blooms between October and March and displays its elegant flowers for an average of four to six weeks. Discover the fascination of the Cymbidium orchid, which has emerged from my own propagation and collection by dividing my organically grown mother plant. This exquisite orchid attracts its attention through the pure white during the flowering period. These easy-care orchids thrive in cooler rooms and prefer modest fertilisation for robust health (100% organic, quality over quantity!). They are not frost resistant, but adapt well to semi-shady locations and are therefore perfect for outdoor placement between April and September. However, direct sunlight and waterlogging should be avoided. When planted in a permeable organic orchid substrate specially designed for cymbidiums, repotting is only recommended every 2-3 years. Welcome this beauty into your room and enjoy the elegance of your new Cymbidium orchid! Did you know that the name Cymbidium is most likely derived from the Greek 'kymbos', which means 'boat' and reflects the lip shape of the flower? For sale are the fully established plants (5-10 shoots in the pot) for the pot price or the the respective bare rooted side shoots. You get the plant of the displayed size.

The June Transfer is a set of FOUR (4) 12"x16" transfers in the pad form with cover. IOD Décor Transfers are a little delicate, need a little extra care, but are so worth it. With a little instruction, they are easy to use and add instant style to your projects. PREPARATION IS KEY. Keep your transfer with its backing sheet until you are ready to apply. Keep free of dust or debris, which will interfere with adhesion. Do not allow the adhesive side of transfer to touch anything prior to application. When handling the transfer, avoid letting the adhesive side touch itself (don’t do in a windy environment). Do not store transfer in extreme temperatures or humid conditions, which can affect adhesion. APPLICATION Start with a clean, dry, matte surface. If painted, make sure it’s well cured, and if you have sanded the paint make certain there is no residual dust. All of these things will interfere with adhesion. Carefully remove the transfer from its white backing. Slowly and carefully lower the transfer onto your intended surface, making sure that it does not touch until the placement is correct. Use small pieces of low tack tape to hold it in place. Using the provided tool, or one of your choice, start at one end of the transfer and rub firmly to adhere the image to the surface. Do this until the entire image is transferred. You are welcome for the free arm workout as well. If any parts aren’t transferred when you lift, simply lay it back down and rub more on that portion. After it is transferred, with a clean dry hand, smooth down any bits that aren’t flatly adhered. I recommend sealing with a water-based (or not harsh solvent based) sealer (waxes created for chalk type paints also work well if they don’t contain harsh solvents). The June IOD Transfer 12" x 16" | 4 Page Pad | Iron Orchid Designs was created with people like you in mind. Something to keep you happy. Every. Single. Day.
Stem Count: 1 stem with 8-12 blooms Season: All Year Color: Ranges from light to deep burgundy. Can lean purple or reddish in it's overall tone. Cymbidium centers are always unique and vary in color from yellow, pink, or burgundy. If you are afraid of color variation, it is best to go with a different flower. Description: Hardy blooms going up the length of a thick stem. Flower Care: Shipped in plastic bag and water tube. Store them upright and feel free to give your orchid a fresh cut and place in fresh, clean water. Keep away from extreme heat or cold. Pros/Cons Flower Care Quantity Help Substitutes The Good: Orchids feel so classy, modern, and high-end. We find they are typically long-lasting and hardy little blooms that work well in all arrangements. When designing, you can cut off individual blooms and place them in a water tube, OR, if you wanna keep it easy, cut and glue the bloom into your bouquet or centerpiece using floral glue/adhesive. This can be done the day of your event and the orchid will hold up well! The Bad: It's not uncommon to have 1-3 orchid blooms have a tear in the petal when it arrives. Not every bloom will be perfect, but the majority should be. Pluck any bad petal off or angle it in a way it's concealed. Gently remove from plastic bag. Give your orchid a fresh cut, and place in clean water. Make sure it's upright, maybe lean in a corner. Keep away from extreme heat or cold. Orchids are considered a Luxury Accent Flower. Based on our design ratios, here's our recommended quantity suggestion: Bridal Bouquet: 1 stem, you can pluck off lower blooms Maids: 1-3 blooms Bouts: 1 bloom Corsages: 1-2 blooms Centerpieces: 1-3 blooms Flower Moxie reserves the right to make changes or substitutions. All substitutions are only done as a last resort, and only when the reasons for doing so are reasonable and genuine. For example, if a flower becomes unavailable (off-crop), incorrect color, or not in good condition to grace a wedding function we will substitute a flower that has a similar color and price-point. Watch our video on substitutions to learn more.Acceptable Subs: Mini cymbidium, or another orchid that matches well with your palette.
If your orchid’s leaves are leathery, floppy, and not firm enough to resist when you (gently) bend them backwards, we hate to say it, but it’s likely dehydrated.

Thelychiton specious is such an ugly name for our beloved rock orchid. Formerly known as Dendrobium speciosum, the Aussie favourite seemed much friendlier before the official name change. Guess we have to go with the trend but I do so under protest. It's a young plant that made the trip from Cooroy to the new bush house in Kangaroo Point. Only two canes this time round but big things from small orchids grow. The slender canes in the background are not part of the plant. They belong to a Dendrobium Gatton Sunray that should burst forth in October. Happy days ahead.
