** This guide has been updated with 2024 dates!** There’s so much to love about Christmas time in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Christmas season is a magical time in Denmark where the Danish concept of “hygge” comes alive. Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) can not be defined in a single English word
Hi All! I thought it would be fun and helpful to share with you some of my favorite things we did in Nashville. We were there for 5 days and that was the perfect amount of times. Nashville would even be a fun place to visit for a long weekend! Check out the street art! // There are so many murals and artwork throughout the city of Nashville. You can spend time with a cup of coffee in your hand and explore all of the different walls of art! Some of them make for a pretty good photo op. Country Music Hall of Fame // We had a rainy day in Nashville and thought it would be the perfect time to check out of the Hall of Fame. The cost of this Museum is around $25 a person. We loved walking around here and reading all of the information about past and present Country stars. My favorite exhibit was the Shania Twain one! They had all of her old outfits she used to perform in- I loved her growing up so this was really fun for me to see. I will say the one downfall was that since we went on a weekday there was a school there on a field trip- so we had to dodge around groups of kids. Other than that it was a really fun time! Explore the stores // There were so many great shopping areas throughout Nashville. For souvenirs or 'touristy' stores stick to the shops right on Broadway. If you're looking for more upscale shopping the areas of 12 South and Hillsboro have some cute boutiques and restaurants! I loved grabbing a coffee at the Frothy Monkey and wandering into the cutest store called Moda next door! Check out Broadway // Broadway is the street in Nashville where all the fun happens! The street is lined with bars and shops that are full of SO much life! Every bar we walked past had live music blasting and it was amazing how much talent these people had! I loved popping into bars to see the next up & coming stars. You could easily spend your entire day and night just on this street. Many of the bars also have rooftop areas that are so fun! The Grand Ole Opry // This was probably my favorite thing we did while in Nashville! We saw Easton Corbin perform and it was just so amazing to see live music at this venue. I can't imagine living close to a place like this and having the opportunity to see shows there every week. The tickets were under $100 and completely worth it. We sat up in the balcony and had the best view. I highly recommend adding this to your to-do list! EAT! // I love trying new restaurants and Nashville has some of the best I've ever been to! I did a full POST on my favorite places we ate. Be sure to check it out! I hope this post was helpful! XO, Nicholle

A visit to Florence is not complete without checking out Duomo di Firenze, the beautiful Florence cathedral now called Santa Maria del Fiori. Here's why...
Kyle & I just got back from our trip to Nashville so I thought it would be the perfect time for me to write up all of our favorite food spots! There are SO many good restaurants in Nashville I wish we could have tried more! Frothy Monkey The sweetest all-day coffee shop located in 12 South. It looks small from the outside but it's actually quite spacious once you walk in! The perfect place to cozy up with a drink or sit out on the porch on a beautiful Tennessee day! What to Order: Cold brew coffee with vanilla flavor + cream // YUM Biscuit Love The South is known for its biscuits and this breakfast spot doesn't disappoint! I loved the cool vibe inside the restaurant as well as the many entree options with biscuits. Get there early as the line can go out the door! You order up at the counter prior to finding a seat. We arrived both times we went around 8:30am and had no issues with lines or waiting. What to Order: Sausage, egg & cheese on a biscuit // ' Lily': Biscuit french toast, lemon mascarpone, blueberry compote & house syrup (my favorite!) Milk & Honey Another great breakfast spot! This restaurant is pretty large and a great place to bring a family. They had freshly made baked goods available and a coffee bar if you aren't looking to sit down for a full meal. What to Order: Freshly baked biscuit with honey & strawberry preserves (SO good) // Sausage, egg and cheese with hashbrowns Krispy Kreme If you don't live in the South then visiting Krispy Kreme is a must! I was so excited to wake up & walk across the street for fresh donuts! What to Order: Original glazed donut, Chocolate frosted cream-filled donut, Large hot coffee Burger Republic I had hands down the best burger I've ever had at this restaurant! It was incredible- so much flavor and cooked perfectly! To top things off the prices here were great- I think it was around 11 dollars for a burger and fries. What to Order: A flight of beer, Fried pickles & peppers, The 96 burger with truffle tots (trust me!) Hattie B's Hot Chicken Before we went to Nashville I did some research and everyone said we HAD to go to Hattie B's & they were right! It's definitely more of a fast food type atmosphere than a sit-down restaurant. You order up at the counter and then find a table- since it was nice out the porch was open so we grabbed a picnic table. It is pretty small in there so it can seem very "busy". You can also order to-go or call in for pickup. What to Order: Hot Chicken Sandwich with Mac and Cheese- the chicken is incredible! I got the 'hot' sauce and it was quite spicy! Next time I would probably get the medium heat. Bar Taco This was probably my favorite restaurant overall that we went to. The service was great and the food was even better. The tacos were between 2-3 dollars each and had very fresh ingredients. What to Order: Salsa & Guac, Chicken taco, Carnitas taco, Baja fish taco, Crispy rock shrimp taco (my fave!), Grilled Corn Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint This was Kyles favorite restaurant! It would be a good place to go with a group as they have a very large space and big picnic-style tables. This restaurant like the others you order at the counter and then find a seat- this seemed to be a theme throughout Nashville! The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious! When we left we smelled like smoked meats so keep that in mind! What to Order: Big Momma Sampler: feeds (2-3), 4 bones, 6oz pork, 6oz brisket, choice of 3 sides ( I suggest mac and cheese, baked beans, and fries!) No Baked Cookie Dough This was a fun place for dessert! The dough tastes exactly like the cookie dough you would use to bake. What to Order: Chocolate chip cookie dough & Sugar cookie dough Hope you've enjoyed! XO, Nicholle
Located in northwest Spain, Santiago de Compostela is the final stop for pilgrims coming from all directions of the Camino de Santiago way and those who want to visit the tomb of the Apostle James.
TEST! It was that time of year again where we make the trip to a European city to (quite literally) drink in the festive atmosphere. This year was no exception and it takes us to Copenhagen.
If you want to get off-the-beaten-path and see some hidden gems in Copenhagen, these are some of the best ones to visit on your next trip!
Gain new perspective on one of these potentially life-changing excursions.
