This jacket has a flared Medici collar with petal detail, circular cuffs, and scalloped hem. The jacket may be accented by rows of top-stitching. Works well in wool, linen, or cotton for both the fashionable lady or the lady adventurer. This pattern originally appeared in La Mode Illustree in the year 1899. While based on an original pattern and while this pattern follows the original silhouette very closely, this pattern has had significant improvements to make it more user-friendly for today’s dressmaker. This pattern has been trued up from the original pattern and includes the addition of multi-sizes, seam allowance, grain lines, notches, facing pieces, and pattern markings which were not originally included. This pattern has been supplemented with my illustrations and text to make basic, untailored construction easier to comprehend. Basic lining instructions are included, but are not in-depth. If you desire more tailoring or lining instruction, it is suggested to supplement this pattern with a book that instructs tailored garment construction. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE A MOCK UP TO TEST PATTERN FIT AND CONSTRUCTION BEFORE CUTTING INTO YOUR FASHION FABRIC. Fit and construction of this garment is more complex than the majority of garments made today. Test the construction and fit first in a cheap mock up fabric, since the fit and construction of garments from the 19th century are so VASTLY different than garments today. The fit is unchanged from the original 19th century source material. This was originally designed to be worn over period foundations, including corsets, of the period. The fit of the finished garment, however, does not have the exaggerated bust/waist ratio of many period garments and can easily be adjusted to wear for modern wear, without corset, in the mock up phase - SIZING - All sizes below are included in these e-pattern files. This pattern was meant to be very fitted over the bust. Very little ease is included if you want more ease, or desire to wear it over a full blouse, consider cutting a size larger. Bust 30 - 32 - 34 - 36 - 38 - 40 - 42 - 44 - 46 Waist 24 - 26 - 28 - 30 - 32 - 34 - 36 - 38 - 40 This pattern is meant to be very fitted at the waist and has very little ease. If you are between sizes, cut the next size next larger. - HOW TO USE THIS E-PATTERN - YOU WILL NEED ADOBE READER, A FREE PDF READER PROGRAM, IN ORDER TO OPEN AND PRINT THIS PATTERN. This pattern is formatted for USA Letter Size and A4 sized paper. You will need to print this pattern to 100% scale. Open the "READ-ME-FIRST" File for instructions on printing and piecing your pattern. This pattern is tiled into letter sized paper. You will print these documents on your home printer, cut, and tape them together, to form a larger pattern layout. Then you cut and use your pattern just as you would a normal home sewing pattern. This pattern comes in 3 files, and uses a LOT of paper. The skirt pattern sheet uses 30 sheets of paper, 12 sheets are needed for the instruction pack, 1 for the e-pattern "how to" sheet. 43 total sheets of 8.5" x 11" sized paper or A4 sized paper are needed to make all garments in this pattern. This pattern file is formatted to fit on both sizes of paper, and there will be varying thicknesses of white border, which will be cut off, according to pattern instructions. - HOW TO USE THIS E-PATTERN - YOU WILL NEED ADOBE READER, A FREE PDF READER PROGRAM, IN ORDER TO OPEN AND PRINT THIS PATTERN. This boxed set of 6 cards with matching envelopes was created with the Petal Park Bundle and the Sentimental Park stamp set.
Hi Gorgeous! How are you today? Thanks so much for checking out my post. And this is the final card from my recent Texture Chic Class. Those Deckled Rectangle Dies came out to play again, along with the gold heat embossing! I just love this grid pattern die that comes in the coordinating dies & I've got to be honest, that & the DSP is what made me get this Suite haha! I have gone for Petal Pink & Pale Papaya cardstock. The DSP is actually a washed out Mango Melody. I have also used the Boughs Punch with the Distressed Gold specialty paper that comes in the Suite. Apologies for the late night pics, the lighting makes the Petal Pink look a bit like Fresh Freesia. This card is part on my online class with two other designs, available now. It is also part of the August Mega Tutorial Bundle which you can purchase for $28 from me or I'll give it to you for free when you spend over $90 in my online shop this month. First of all before I start: Please click the dropdown box on the top right to translate to English. Hallo ihr Lieben, und herzlich Willkommen zu unserem Blog Hop der Stampin’ Friends im April.
Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you are having a fantastic week and a fabulous day! It's Friday, Yay, and that means it's time for another Just Add Ink Challenge, JAI #553. We've got another fun sketch for you suggested to us by fellow JAI Design Team Member Kelly Kent. Fun for layering but has a lot of scope for you to make this sketch your own. I've used this sketch to have another play around with the beautiful Stampin' Up! Pansy Petal Suite and how to make a card using mostly cardstock and DSP. The only stamp I used today was for the sentiment. I've started my card with a Basic White base and then I've layered some Soft Succulent cardstock and then a piece of the Fresh Freesia Gingham from the Pansy Petals DSP. The Soft Succulent aand Fresh Freesia together makes for a beautiful colour combination. I can see that being used again in the future. Over the gingham I added strips of Fresh Fressia cardstock. I changed up the sketch slightly by adding five strips instead of the four. Just a personal prefernce to change it up that way as I personally thought the five strips looked better that the four. Don't they say in design that things look better in odd numbers rather than even. I've added a panel of the Basic White cardstock over the base layers and for an added touch of prettyness I put a small piece of the Square Vellum Doilies at each end of the Basic White layer. Then to finish off the card I've added some Pansies and leaves that have been die cut from the Pansy Petals DSP. Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine along with the coordinating Pansy Dies to cut the images from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper. Cutting the images out of the DSP makes for making a really quick card with beuatiful imagery. Another great thing for making cards with the images from the DSP is that there are lots of Pansies and leaves in the DSP so you can easily make a bulk batch of cards with all these gorgeous images. With it being Mother's Day here in Australia this coming Sunday I thought I would use the 'Happy Mother's Day' sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set but you can easily swap that out for whatever sentiment you desired. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out everyone's take on the sketch. I love to see how everyone has a different creation all using the same sketch. Can't wait to see what you do with the sketch. Thank so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Live in Australia?
