Fantastic installation by Alicia Martin involving thousands of books pouring out of the window of a building. Seriously awesome!
Fall is coming, I know it! :) And while we wait, we're enjoying the late summer/early fall weather. Lots of time outside means we're finding all sorts of outdoorsy things to craft with--like sticks! Wow, sticks are so great...and so versatile! They add an instant natural element to your home. Check out these fun stick crafts/home projects! 10. MOBILES! Little Loveables made a pretty bird mobile, and FamilyFun made the all-natural one. How cute! 9. Bring Spring inside! I haven't actually done this myself yet, but it seems like every blogger out there has done at least one of these! You just glue some fake flowers/petals onto branches (sometimes painted) and put them in vases...it's that easy! 8. Frames! This is an easy DIY project that even your kids could get in on, and it would make a great camp craft, too! 7. I love this sunburst mirror by Shirley over HERE! I bet sanded twigs would look just as good as the driftwood she used! 6. LIGHTING! There are a ton of ways you can arrange these--natural, thrown-together look or something more geometric. And you can use them for lamps, candles, or make your own lanterns! 5. Pretty vases! You can even just wrap/glue these around an existing vase, or a peanut butter jar, and they look soooooo pretty! 4. Pencil holders! These would be a fun Earth day craft, or just something super fun! You just glue sticks around some cardboard tubs and then glue it all together! These would look even better with some twine! 3. Hanging things! You can make a beautiful, natural flower- or herb-drying station with some long sticks, or use a giant branch as a rod for curtains or closets! 2. Art! You can make beautiful trees with those sticks and frame them, or sand those twigs down and make fun shapes out of them like Kristen did HERE! 1. Christmas decor! You can make beautiful twig trees or fun, rustic ornaments! Don't you just want to go outside now and pick up all the sticks you can find? :) Happy crafting! Linking up HERE!
