Daniel Ricciardo | McLaren MCL35M by Alex Stutchbury2021594mm x 420mmPainting of Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo, in his first outing for the Woking team, as he races into a pit stop during the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix.I have tried to capture the amazing speed of a Formula One pit stop by blurring all of the pit crew around Ricciardo’s MCL35M, as he pulls into his box. The transition from the speed of the car as it pulls up, to the frenzied work of the pit crew, is an amazing sight and one that I’ve tried to capture using the vibrant papaya orange against the blue bodywork and helmets of the McLaren team crew. 200mph cars and 2 second pitstops, F1 is all about speed, speed, speed. Washington F Pit Print, Albany, Tyne and Wear The Washington 'F' Pit museum is in the village, consisting of an engine house and winding gear built atop one of the earliest colliery shafts in the country. In 1775 a lease was given to William Russell enabling him to mine coal on the Washington estate. He sank eight pits (designated 'A' to 'I') in the ensuing years; 'F' pit is believed to date from 1777. Mining was halted in 1796 due to an explosion flooding the pit and stopping production. Operations recommenced in 1821. In 1856 the pit was extended down to a depth of 660 feet in order to access the Hutton Seam; in 1954 it was further deepened to reach the Busty Seam at a depth of 927 feet. For a time it was the most productive pit on the Washington coalfield, employing over 1500 men and garnering an annual total of 486,000 tons of usable coal in 1964–5. It was closed on 21 June 1962 as part of the National Coal Board's modernisation programme. The winding house and headgear were opened as a museum in 1976. The 'F' Pit museum is one of the few remaining physical reminders in Washington of the countless colliery installations which once dominated the area. ------------------------------------- All images are printed on Lustre paper, featuring a very natural photographic finish reminiscent of traditional photographic printing. About The Artwork "A place of refuge" is my depiction of a place were one is able to find a peace of mind, a sanctuary for the soul, in a tumultuous existence. It is very much inspired by the colors and attributes of the Red sea and the Sinai peninsula. This work is a pit stop, reflections, observing and things to come. Vtg Large Ironstone Platter, Large Antique Hand Painted White Platter, Large Welled White Platter Length 20.5" x Height 14.5" x Depth 2" This is a beautiful vintage very large antique Ironstone welled platter. It has all the patina I just love in one of the antique pieces to include crazing, brownish staining some pitting as well as some paint loss to the oil or acrylic hand painted scene on it. Nothing major really, particularly for its age. There appears to be a faint makers mark on the back side of this platter however I can't make it out. It's quite heavy so I don't know if this could be safely hung on the wall. It weighs in at 7lbs 1oz so the cost of shipping will reflect the weight of the piece. A one of a kind antique platter to be sure! Thank you for visiting my Shop today! Do stop back, I'm adding new merchandise almost daily. Buy with Confidence! My life is defined by the pets who have blessed our home with their presence. I am a full time dog/cat mom to a house full of animals that for one reason or another...needed a place to call home. Most of the pets here are handicap, are very senior or have behavior challenges that make them special. But here...they are whole...I call them my Misfits but only because its a term I can relate to. We are all misfits here....and together we are so much more than we ever imagined. I paint pets to help support my family of Misfits...my pets, my friends pets...complete strangers pets...I just love painting pets! Our pets bring so much love and joy to our lives...it is very special to memorialize them...to mark the incredible gift they have been to our lives on canvas forever. My silhouette paintings were originally inspired by my dachshund Trudy, a blind and deaf girl who ended up dumped in a shelter with very little hope. She and I painted her silhouette together on a sleepless night. Her silhouette launched a whole line of inspired pieces. This is a single canvas that measures 11 x 14. The painting is done in acrylic and has tiny drops of clear sparkly in the painting. I am happy to add a name to the canvas to make this a personal gift for you or your intended recipient ($9.99). I process my orders very fast...typically in one business day (personalization will take a 1-3 days). I ship USPS first class and Priority Mail and pack my orders up very carefully in pet themed packaging. Thank you for stopping by our sweet little shop! Nancy & The Misfits

Daniel in the Lion’s Den is truly an inspiring story. It is one that speaks both to the power of faith and the rewards of piety. When Daniel continues to pray to the God of Israel despite a royal decree to stop, he is punished for his transgressions and thrown into a pit of wild big cats. God’s angel stayed the ferocity of the lions, however, and allowed Daniel to survive the encounter. Many of the great masters in art have attempted to capture the drama of this scene in oil and relate the profundity of the message on canvas. Peter Paul Rubens and Briton Riviere are but two of several that impacted my appreciation of this visual narrative. I hope you enjoy my composition as I tried to tell the whole story of Daniel, from the visions he experienced before the imposition of his horrific sentence to the deliverance he received through the grace of God. And, remember, take courage in the face of your own trials and consider that you do not have to face them alone. As always, I want to thank you for sharing my adventures in art.
