The mini bottles surfaced recently. I printed off some free Harry Potter potions labels and made Amortentia, the love potion. I dyed shampoo red, because it was thick and I was hoping that the glitter and glitter hearts would remain suspended in it but they eventually settled to the bottom. I'm going to use hair gel the next time. Glued the label to it with mod podge, embellished a key with red rhinestones and attached it and a red heart bead to it with chain. The cork is glued in so it can't spill. .This one is about 1-3/4" tall and filled with iridescent glitter "moon dust". Again I glued the cork in so that it won't spill, and added a large pearl rhinestone to the top, and a tiny silver one to the label. I realized with some horror and despair that I'm out of crescent moon charms, so I found an old pierced earring in my stash and fashioned the post into a loop to hang from the gold chain. I actually like the way this crescent earring looks. It has a pretty pattern on it. Here are Felix Felicis and Polyjuice Potion. Again topped with rhinestones, and I added a chain & key to the luck potion. I did attempt to use a cat face charm on the Polyjuice, but as I suspected, it was too heavy and pulled the bottle over. NERD ALERT: Potterheads will recall that Hermione accidentally turned herself into a cat the first time she took Polyjuice because she inadvertently used a cat hair. Felix is a heavy gel, coloured yellow with food colouring with gold glitter stirred in. They stay suspended nicely. The Polyjuice is just black glitter paint that I squeezed into the bottle. Making these things is just slightly addicting and I'm just about out of bottles. The ones I have left are really too small for the labels I have on hand. I might have to start improvising.....

"Pick your poison!" A very curious pair of antique glass poison bottles. True antiques in used condition with some wear. Dark smoke brown antique glass poison bottles; or one poison (short bottle) and one medicine bottle (tall bottle). True antiques in used condition with some wear. Most likely late 1800's in origin. 2 different varieties. The shorter bottle is almost certainly a poison bottle. The ridges on the bottle were designed to warn a person grasping the bottle in the dark, or if vision impaired, that the contents were poisonous. This was especially used during the period of time before electric lights existed. The taller smooth sided vial is either a poison or remedy/medicine bottle. Each bottle is offered individually or the pair of bottles are offered together as a set with a discount for as long as the set remains unbroken. The shapes, and sizes vary. The short bottle holds approximately 1/2 fl. oz. The taller bottle holds slightly less than 1/2 fl. oz. Both bottles come with cork stoppers. Only one of each style available. True antiques so they both show some wear and/or discoloration but no apparent cracks or chips. Makes lovely Victorian accent décor. Enjoy!

This is a really fun set of reproduction Victorian era labeled poison / chemist / apothecary bottles. Very cool decor in black and orange! To be clear, the bottles and labels have been prepared by us and are not true antiques. This set of 2 bottles is a new reproduction creation out of our workshop. The labels are copies of true original antique chemist / apothecary bottle labels; cyanide potassium and corrosive sublimate. Very good quality scans on parchment style paper that we have carefully glued onto glass bottles. The labels are beautifully detailed with red and black print and have a very authentic character. The bottles are stained. The black bottle is actually and extremely dark purple that appears black when heavily stained. Both bottles come in a lot together as a set with your single order.
