Two days ago I was asked to do the craft for this weeks lesson and Paul’s letters to the Corinthians. I usually run with the first idea I get, which was for the children to send a letter to someone in their lives! So, while this isn’t a “Bible” craft, we can still use it ... Read more

Dwa poniższe podkradłam Gurianie i Immacoli.

Have you ever received a card and when you opened it, something popped out and made you laugh or exclaim? That is what we mean by a pop up card and in this article, we will take you through some ideas and thoughts on how you can make this happen and that too one that is apt for the occasion. It always make the receiver feel special when you give them a personally made card on which you have spent a lot of creativity and time. That is why you will find that sometimes people appreciate the handmade card even more than an expensive gift. There are many cute friendship card designs that you can work on to make your friend feel good about your friendship. But if you add a pop up element to this, it will make the card even more special than one that is simple and flat.

You've found my popup rocket card - ideal for special occasions and birthdays. The card opens and rocket blasts off out of the page to the moon. There is no text printed on the card which allows you to add your own personalised message. The back of the card is blank, except for my details, which gives you plenty of space to add your own text. ABOUT MY CARDS I work as an illustrator and paper engineer, making popup books, cards and gifts. I’ve designed each card, which has been printed on artist 200gsm matte card, which I have personally hand assembled. Each cold folds flat for postage and measures approximately 10.4 x 15.8cm – folding out to 20.8 x 15.8 cm when opened (without the dimensions of the actual popup which can go beyond the edge of the page to make it more effective). Each card also comes with an envelope as shown in the photograph and a protective cellophane sleeve. I pride myself on attention to detail and I hope you'll love seeing these cards popup, just as much as I love designing and making them. ~ Handmade item, printed on to and cut from 200 gsm white card ~ Finished card stands approx. W 20.8 x D 15.8 ~ Includes a good quality envelope within a protective cellophane sleeve ~ Folds flat for posting

Karen Burniston's Design Team has our challenge day today, with 'The Great Outdoors' as our theme. For my card I used Karen's Tent Pop-Up die set, which includes everything to make a beautiful tent, fire, fire surround, and pop-up tree stump! The papers I used are all from Carta Bella's 'Flora No.2' 12x12 set and 6x6 pad. The sentiment comes from the 6x6 pad. Karen has a great assembly video, which shows how the card comes easily together - it was seriously so satisfying to make! The grass border was made using Karen's Nature Edges die set. I thought about what I like most when I go camping - I like making my tent pretty (yes, I've hung bunting on my tent before, though I haven't got such a gorgeous floral tent!), I like a good book, a decent light (in this case a lantern from the Camping Charms set), and nice things to eat and drink. I tried to re-create those elements in my card! (The book and mug with marshmallows I cut by hand.) The card front is just very simple, with a sentiment from the 12x12 Flora No.2 set. Everything folds down very cleverly! Product Links:
