Gold posy ring with inscription bearing traces of black enamel. The exterior chased, decorated with strapwork and pellets. Very small. No maker's mark.

Posy ring, made in England in the 17-18th century (source). The ring is inscribed: “In thy breast my heart doth rest”. There would originally have been colored enamel on the ring exterior.
