This has been a BIG labor of love and I am so happy to say that my Preschool Curriculum is finally finished!!!! This curriculum is your road map for an ENTIRE year of learning! You can adapt this for younger or older kiddos, but it is intended for preschool/PreK age group. This curriculum is perfect for classroom teachers AND homeschooling families! Here is a peek inside! You can grab this bundle in my TPT shop. Preschool Curriculum Each month has several learning focuses. Here is a look at September. Each month will focus on 3 letters, 3 numbers, a shape, color, and pattern. There are suggested themes to follow, with links provided to my theme packs (sold separate). Each week is planned out for you, but allows ample flexibility to meet the needs of your students. Letters: Learning letters should be hands on and FUN. Here are activities included for each letter. Real Life Photographs- use these for anchor charts, sorting centers, or pocket charts. Dot It- My kids have always loved dot markers since they were little. Use dot stickers, dot markers, or small manipulatives (mini erasers) to build each letter. Stamp It- Letter stamps are a fun way to practice letters. Use this as a morning activity, small group, or for center time. Pin Poke- Have you let your kiddos use jumbo push pins? They are FUN! I place Styrofoam underneath it, and it is wonderful for fine motor practice. Q-Tip Paint- Again, this one is great for fine motor practice as they learn the shape of each letter. Here is more letter fun! Set them up as morning work, center time, or small group practice. Let your kids pick and choose, or only have one at a time available. I made this curriculum to be extremely flexible to your classroom and needs. Play Dough Letters- Build each letter with play dough and then smash balls of play dough on pictures with the letter sound. Lego Letters- Build each letter with Legos or blocks. Laminate the page to practice tracing and writing each letter too. Snap Cube Letters- Build each letter with snap cubes or unifex cubes. Process Art Letters- Each week has an idea for a process art based letter activity. Printable: For additional practice, each letter has several printables to practice writing the letter and identifying the beginnings sound. Shapes: Each month has a shape focus. Here are the activities included each month to focus on shapes. Shape Hunt: Hunt around the classroom/outside for the shape. Draw your findings on the recording page. Tracing: Trace each shape. Real Life Shapes: Identify the shape in real life objects. Shape Mats: These are my favorite!!! There are 2 shape mats included for each shape. Use themed manipulatives, mini erasers, stickers, play dough, pom poms, art supplies, to build each shape. OR turn the shape into a real life object (my son decided that circle needed to be a face). Colors: Each month has a color focus, with the exception of March, April and May which are review months. Each color will have a mini book for your students to cut, assemble, and color. There are also many roll and color activities included. Patterns: Each month has a pattern focus. For the first week of the month, the pattern gets introduced as a whole class. Then, in subsequent weeks, there is a pattern activity. Pattern Mats- Use themed manipulatives, mini erasers, or stickers to practice the pattern. Pattern Worksheet- Cut and paste the pictures to practice each pattern. Numbers: Each week, there is a number mini book to pracice the focus number. There is also a weekly number sort. Your students will get lots of practice with scissor skills as they cut and sort each number. Extras: Focus Wall: Use the focus wall posters to create a bulletin board. Home/ Schoool Connection: I know not everyone believes in homework, but this Tic Tac Toe is SIMPLE and an easy way to get parents involved with the learning at home. Weather Chart: Graph the weather each day. Monthly Assessment: Track the progress of your students throughout the year with this quick assessment.
