These lesson plans are made for a 3 and 4 year old preschool class. It includes 35 weeks of lesson plans, stretching from September to May. Included in each month is the scope and sequence for that month, templates for all printable materials needed, and the full lesson plans for each week. Each week includes two days of lesson plans, which includes a phonics, table work, music, math, story and reading, and a theme lesson each day. These lesson plans were created to follow our 35 Week Curriculum Map. You do not need to purchase the curriculum map in order to use these lesson plans. You can successfully teach the whole year program without that additional product. However, it does provide valuable additional materials for planning and setting up a classroom if you will need to do that this year. These lesson plans could be used in a classroom setting or a home setting. Because this is for year 1, the 3 year-old class, we have the students attend 2 days a week. However, the activities could be stretched out between additional days if that is what is best for your schedule. We also have listed a resource for extension material/activities at the bottom of this page if you need it with our Parent Preschool program. We have used these exact activities and lessons in our own preschool for several years and have seen how it has very successfully prepared students to enter kindergarten confidently. We have a two year program, and these lessons are for the FIRST year. Everything builds the foundation for the second year, so be sure to look for our YEAR 2 Lesson plans to continue their learning! You can find the individual monthly lesson plans below: September Lessons October Lessons November Lessons December Lessons January Lesson February Lesson Plans March Lesson Plans April Lesson Plans May Lesson Plans If you would like the CENTERS that we use all year with these lesson plans you can find them HERE. We change our centers weekly. Do you want to let parents know what's happening in the classroom each week with your lesson plans? You can use these Weekly Parent Communication Letters to send home this info and easily suggest ways they can support that learning at home! Just print and send them home with the kids each week! If you want additional materials to teach to extend the days or teaching time with this same curriculum, you can find extension materials with our PARENT PRESCHOOL YEAR 1 program. This follows the same curriculum as these lesson plans, but with different activities, and can be used to only further learning and provide more hands on fun and experiences!
