Voor Pasen maakten we een groot paasei in gips. In de volgende stappen tonen we jullie hoe we dit deden. Kijk maar mee! Benodigdheden: snelwerkend gips, 2 lege plastieken flessen met dop, 1 snijmes, 1 soeplepel, water en ballonnen. Stap 1: doe het snelwerkend gips in een lege plastieken fles. Om gemakkelijker te vullen, kan je de tweede plastieken fles nemen, de helft afsnijden en de bovenste helft met dop gebruiken als trechter. Plak deze gewoon vast met tape. Stap 2: verwijder de trechter van de fles en voeg water toe. Opgelet: voeg niet teveel water toe van in het begin! Doe de dop op de fles en schud goed. Heb je een dun papje, dan heb je voldoende water toegevoegd. Indien je een dikke pap hebt, moet je nog water toevoegen. Stap 3: wanneer alles goed gemengd is, mag de dop van de fles. Zet de fles even opzij en neem een ballon. Deze mag je opblazen. Hou de ballon goed vast zodat de lucht erin niet kan ontsnappen. Zet de ballon op de fles met gipsmengsel in. Stap 4: draai de fles met de ballon om zodat het gipsmengsel in de ballon kan lopen. Wacht tot alles erin zit en maak dan de ballon los van de fles. Leg een knoop in de ballon. Stap 5: draai de ballon rond in alle mogelijke richtingen zodat het gips goed verdeeld wordt in de ballon. Bedoeling is dat het gips de hele ballon bedekt vanbinnen. Het gipsmengsel droogt ondertussen op, je zal merken dat het steeds dikker wordt en uiteindelijk niet meer uitloopt. Dit kan wel even duren! Stap 6: leg de ballon met gipsmengsel in koud water. Giet ook water over de ballon met je handen. Hou de ballon niet onder de kraan, dit is te hard voor het drogende gipsmengsel en zou ervoor kunnen zorgen dat het gips loskomt in de ballon. Stap 7: Wanneer je voelt dat het gipsmengsel helemaal hard geworden is, mag je de ballon eraf halen. Knip het knoopje eraf en trek zo de rest van de ballon van het ei. Het is helemaal niet erg indien er een deukje is in het gips. Bedoeling is om een deel van het ei open te maken zodat je er nog iets in kan stoppen. En voila: dit is het resultaat! Je kan het ei daarna nog verven maar dit moet je wel heel voorzichtig doen. Onze eieren hebben we gewoon wit gelaten. Op het einde van de dag mochten de kinderen hun reuzenpaasei mee naar huis nemen en zelf kiezen wat ze erin stopten.
