Princess Caroline, 61, who is the eldest child of US actress Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco made the revelations in a new book Albert II of Monaco, The Man and The Prince.
There's a certain je ne sais quoi that takes a celebrity from being considered really stylish, to being canonized a fashion icon. Jackie O and Marilyn Monroe are members of the exclusive "icon" club, but now, let's turn our focus to America's very own Oscar-winning actress turned Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly. Even before she captured the world's attention for her stunning (and much copied) wedding dress for her marriage to Prince Ranier in 1956, it's her daytime outfits, sophisticated suiting, crisp car coats, and austere-yet-feminine evening gowns that are influencing designers even today. She even inspired one of fall's biggest handbag trends: the box bag! Scroll through these 15 archival images that prove that Princess Grace will forever be a style inspiration to us all: Here she wears a cowboy hat and midi skirt, a look that could have easily been on the fall 2015 runways, circa 1945. She wore an emerald green gown to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in 1954. This ruched white gown and diamond collar in To Catch a Thief in 1955 is a look synonymous with the star. She was classically graceful in a cardigan and self-tie blouse in 1955. She wore a belted shirtdress,

Grace Kelly’s rare beauty and stunning self-possession propelled her into the Hollywood pantheon, onto the Best-Dressed List, and ultimately to Monaco’s royal palace.
I've been anxiously waiting for the movie, Grace of Monaco, with Nicole Kidman portraying Princess Grace, to be released in the U.S., but with all the negative reviews in Europe, the disapproval of Monaco's Royal Family, and Weinstein Company's pledge to make changes before releasing it here, who knows when that will be. I wanted to spend yesterday afternoon watching the 1956 movie, High Society, which was Grace Kelly's last movie before marrying Prince Rainier, III of Monaco [also in 1956], but the local video store didn't have it. ~ Beautiful Grace Kelly in High Society ~ [Internet Photo] Instead I watched Pierre Salinger's ABC 20/20 interview with Princess Grace just three months before her tragic death in September 1982. What a lovely lady, and guess what? She was a tea drinker! ~ Below she's having tea with some of her friends in 1955 ~ [Internet Photo] ~ Taking a tea break with Alfred Hitchcock on the set of To Catch a Thief in 1955 ~ [Internet Photo] ~ Sharing a cup of tea with Danny Kaye ~ [Internet Photo] [Internet Photo] [Internet Photo] ~ Having tea in Hollywood with Frank Sinatra in 1958 ~ [Internet Photo] [Internet Photo] Rest in peace, Princess Grace! I'll look forward to writing a review on Grace of Monaco when it's released in the U.S. Wonder if there'll be some tea scenes?

While some dream of an Oscar and others a royal crown, Grace Kelly won both, creating for herself a life filled with public adoration, professional accolades and personal joys. But the Princess of Monaco’s time on earth was too brief — she died in 1982 from injuries suffered in a car crash at the age of 52. Even so, her early allure lives on in classic films such as To Catch a Thief and High Society, and her generosity flourishes in charities such as her namesake arts foundation. Now, her children with Prince Rainier — Princess Caroline, Prince Albert II and Princess Stéphanie — have children of their own, a new generation to carry on the legacy of Her Serene Highness. In the Story of Grace Kelly & the Monaco Royals, we look back at Princess Grace’s Hollywood roles, the love between her and Prince Rainier and who’s who in the House of Grimaldi today.
