Hawbolts Island, an almost 12 ac paradise in the Atlantic ocean, from where you can enjoy sunrise and sunset, nature pure, starlit night skies, pure fresh air and peace. A small camp (20 x 16) with deck was built in 2004 with separate bedroom, small eat-in kitchen with cozy woodstove and a camping shower. Water is being collected from rain. There is a nice flat spot higher up in the middle of the island that would be a perfect spot for a bigger house. Old stone walls testify to earlier settlement on this island, and it seems there was a dug well at that time. Ospreys and bald eagles and seals can be watched and all kinds of different birds that flock to the bird sanctuary close by.NE
