Today, Digital Project Life has the new Heritage Edition on sale in the shop. It is elegant, with a neutral color scheme and simply beautiful ... it is a kit that will absolutely let your photos take center stage, whether true heritage photos, black and whites or even modern color photographs. I choose to document some of my photos from our August extended family vacation. The island we visited was nothing short of amazing and the history associated with the island was fascinating. I converted most of my photographs to black and white for a timeless look and then added in just a few color photos to give the sense of the beauty of the island (something I did not want to forget when looking back). I am in love with the way this kit complemented my photos without taking away from the beauty of the images. Here's the double spread: available at digitalprojectlife.com Becky Higgins Digital Project Life | Heritage Edition other little details: Crystal Wilkerson: stitches, Katie Pertiet: In Stitches Wings No 1, Patti Knox: Pin it Pearls, Ali Edwards: Love You Circle Overlays Here's a closer look at Page 1 (left side): Here's a closer look at Page 1 (left side): The girls on the Digital Project Life Creative Team have lots of amazing inspiration as well. It's time for another challenge at Can You Case It and this week we are all about going back to school. I think it's the end of the summer in the States and the new school year is starting for them, but while here in Australia our school year is still happening and I wasn't really sure what to do for this challenge. Then I realised I still hadn't scrapped any photo's of my middle child, Mr.6 going off to big school: Gosh isn't he a cutie!! I used the All Year Long card collection and matching embellishment kit for my layout and I just love how it turned out. Some of the cards were originally 4x4 but some of the ones I wanted to use were actually 4x6 and so I just cut those down to fit into the pockets. Don't be afraid to mix things up and think outside the box. I'm also known for using washi tape to stick two 3x2 cards together to make a 6x4. It's all about making PL fit your needs. Now another question I'm often asked is, "Do I stick my stickers straight onto the photo?" and the answer is Yes I do. PL is all about taking as much or as little time on a layout as you want and I feel sticking my embellishments straight on the photo is a perfect fit for me. I really do love the matching embellishment kits that each card collection has. The kits has everything you could need for your layout, with stickers, washi tape, wooden elements, alphas and even a coordinating stamp set. You really just need to add you photos and you are done!! Well that's it for me today. Make sure you pop over and check out what the est of the DT's have come up with this week and I hope you take part yourself!! Before I even begin to show and tell all about today's card, I have to share that Project Life is now LIVE and available to order from Stampin' Up! It's going to be 'my thing!' Do you know what . . . I tried it out for the first time a couple of days ago and in under THREE HOURS, I had my ENTIRE Fiji trip that Steve and I took last year with Stampin' Up! scrapbooked! I still love traditional scrapbooking and I can see using a sprinkling of pages this way in with my Project Life pages. But
This month for me it’s all about the pockets; pocket scrapbooking and a couple of layouts featuring embellished pockets from the Maggie Holmes ‘Confetti’ collection by Crate Paper. First up is a Project Life spread featuring a trip to Rome in the Easter holidays paired with the ‘Journey’ collection by Crate Paper. I fell in love with the […]
