This is a quick card I have made for my mum. I have first taken some black CS and made into a card base then added a layer of DB Butterfly CS then a sheet of DB Pumpkin Patch paper on top. I have cut a MFT Die-Namics Bracket Border from DB Beetle Black CS, added to the base and wrapped around with DB Halloween Doodle Twine. I have then cut out the circles using Nestabilities dies and added a DB Doodle-Pops Pumpkin sticker on; this has been added to the base with 3D adhesive squares. Three DB Sugar Coated brads added to finish. For the inside I have added more DB Butterfly CS and then cut a circle from white and stamped the greeting using the CC Designs Amy R Ghostly Greetings Set in Memento inks. I have then stamped a bat from the CC Designs Gift It Halloween Style set on to white CS and then cut out, adding a little glitter with a Spica clear pen. STAMPS: CC Designs. INK: Memento Tuxedo Black and Tangelo, Copic Spica At You Clear Pen. CS/PAPER: Papertrey Ink, Doodlebug Designs. TOOLS: Nestabilities Dies, My Favourite Things Die-Namics Dies. EMBELLISHMENTS: Doodlebug Designs Doodle Twine, Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coated Brads, Doodlebug Designs Doodle-Pops Sticker. Wishing all my readers a Happy Halloween,

The first thing that struck me about the Cielo was its versatility. As I did my usual stalking of the hashtag before deciding whether to buy the pattern, I came across quite a few sewers who had made several versions of the Cielo – always a good sign – and had hacked it in interesting ways. On the face of it, it’s a ba
Hello there, I am over on the Spellbinders blog today, sharing three projects using the Through the Arbor Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. The Through the Arbor Garden Collection is so beautiful! There are six die sets and two embossing folders. I didn't use the embossing folders on my projects but they are beautiful! The flowers in Susan's collections are made to look realistic. I cut them from white cardstock and added ink blending with Distress Inks. I then shaped them using Spellbinders Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. This project uses the Carnation, Queen Anne's Lace and Nasturtium from the collection to decorate the Spellbinders Gift Bag. I am also sharing a card using the Mock Orange, as well as a card using the Bamboo Trellis Background and Delphinium over on the blog. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Hello there, Michelle here and today, I am sharing a card using the new Bees and Flowers Fancy Dies. With these dies, you can create wonderful scenes but with the help of the Hexagon Infinity Dies, I am creating a simple focal point for my card today. Here is the video showing how I made the card: (If you are having trouble viewing this video, please watch HERE on YouTube.) I started off by die cutting the Bees and Flowers Fancy Dies from Dove White Cardstock. I then coloured them using Copic markers. Watch the video to see how I coloured two flowers so that I could add the flower head with some added dimension. I die cut three of the smaller hexagons from the Hexagon Infinity Dies set from more Dove White Cardstock. I then blended on Pool Party Reactive Ink, focusing the darker colour towards the bottom. I splattered with a little water and stamped the sentiment, from the Bee The Queen set on to the middle sized one with Intens-ified Black Ink. The hexagons were added first to a Dove White Top Folding Card with tape runner, followed by the flower using Precision Glue. I then added the bee with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Clear Hero Hues Enamel Dots to the hexagons. This card is making me yearn for spring! Thank you so much for stopping by today, happy stamping! Hello there, unfortunately I missed the release of this pretty stamp set by Clearly Besotted Stamps when I was sick. A little while ago I finally managed to have a play with it. I masked off a circle on to white card and then stamped the Fancy Florals flowers in various inks. The sentiment is from my favourite sentiment set - A Little Sentimental stamped on to a banner cut from the Tag Along Die set on to some vellum. SUPPLIES: InLinkz.com I have recently been having some problems with my photos but thought maybe it was just me. My friend Marlou then said she was having problems too so I thought it couldn't just be me. It turns out that if you have a Google+ account, when uploading photo's to Blogger they auto-enhance them. This is a new feature and is automatically set to be on. You can turn it off however by going to your profile at https://www.google.com/settings/plus and change it there. My blue background was so bright and I couldn't figure out why! Anyway I have now sorted it but these photos here were edited when I was still overcompensating. Hopefully though they will look better going forward! Anyway, thank you so much for visiting me today. I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Hello there, today I am sharing something very different than my usual - fabric! I was delighted to hear that Altenew was releasing their new Dreamy Bouquet Fabric Fat Quarter Collection and although I love fabric (I have a drawer of it!), I do not use it that often, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to try something different. This post is part of a fun blog hop, please see below for more information. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. As much as I love fabric, I am not much of a sewer. I can hand sew but I am not that great on a sewing machine. I would love to get better at it though. When I saw the beautiful patterns in the Altenew Dreamy Bouquet Fabric fat Quarter Collection, I knew I had to give it a go! There are five different fat quarters in the collection (approx. 18" x 22"/50cm x 55cm). I thought that I would create a project without sewing and also one with. The first one is without sewing. I saw some tutorials online about how to create bows and I thought they would be great for lots of different uses - brooches, hair/headbands, pins, adding on to bags etc., so I thought that I would give that a go first. I cut a piece of fabric (the one with the beautiful watercoloured floral on) to 5" x 5" and then folded in half. Where the half way point is, I added a strip of Thermoweb Peel N Stick Fabric Fuse Sheet. This is like double sided tape but for fabric! I then folded it in half again and added another strip of the Fabric Fuse to hold it together and make a square. I then pinched the centre to create a bow. I wrapped it using embroidery thread to secure, but you could use another piece of fabric or ribbon. To make it, I followed this tutorial. I then thought it would be fun to add the bow on to a headband. I simply tied it on using more embroidery thread, so that I could take it off later if I wanted. If you knew you were going to keep it on there permanently, you could use a hot glue gun to secure it in place. For my next project, I thought I would create a hanging heart. I just added toy stuffing in mine, but you could add lavender or any other herb/plant for some fragrance. To make the heart, I cut two hearts from the Altenew Dreamy Bouquet Fabric Fat Quarter Collection. I used the leaf pattern for the front and the aqua with white dots for the back. I placed the hearts back to back (so that the nice side of the fabric was inside the sandwich) and placed a piece of ribbon inbetween. It was sewn up, leaving a small hole, on a sewing machine. Since you stich it inside out, I pulled it back through so that it was the right way round. I used the Altenew Crafter's Essential Bone Folder to push it all through and then filled it with toy stuffing. The hole left for filling was then hand sewn. I tied more ribbon in a bow and adhered a button from my stash to the centre, adhering with a hot glue gun. I then adhered the ribbon to the heart with hot glue as well. For the back, I simply added a button at the top. I thought that I might use the heart either just as décor, or as a pin cushion. It's definitely not perfect, but for my first attempt, I am pretty happy with it! SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. Hello there and happy Spellbinders release day to you! Today I am sharing a card using the Fresh Picked Angel Trumpets Etched Dies from the More Fresh Picked collection. These floral dies have a stylized look to them and cover an A2 card base. I decided, however for this card to cut the pieces down and create my own arrangement. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off by die cutting the base of the flowers from the Spellbinders Fresh Picked Angel Trumpets Etched Dies from Spellbinders Fruit Punch Cardstock, the tops of the flowers from Spellbinders Pink Sand Cardstock and the centres from Spellbinders Chamomile Cardstock. I cut the leaves/stem layer from Spellbinders Peridot Cardstock before cutting it down to the individual leaves and stems. I added ink blending to the pieces using Distress Inks and a Tiny Ink Blending Tool. I assembled the flowers using Bearly Art Glue and adhered them to a US A2 sized white card base with thin foam tape. I then tucked the stems and leaves around the flowers, adhering with Bearly Art Glue. I hot foiled the Spellbinders Always and Forever Press Plate & Die Set onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Silver Foil. I cut them out using the coordinating die and then adhered the 'thanks a million' sentiment to the card using thin foam tape. To finish off, I embellished with Spellbinders Pink Color Essentials Gems. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. Hello there, today I have a card to share using the Spellbinders April 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit called "Pins and Needles Jar". As you can see, the theme for the kits this month is sewing. This kit includes the sewing jar, plus all the sewing items to go in it, but you can use them separately too! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off by die cutting the jar from the Spellbinders April 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit twice from white cardstock. I made a score line at the top of one to create a hinge. I adhered that to the top of the other piece to create a card base. I blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink around the edges using a Blending Brush. I cut the pin cushion bit from MFT Orange Sherbet Paper and the metal piece from Spellbinders Brushed Silver Cardstock. They were adhered to the base using Bearly Art Glue. I then die cut all the sewing pieces from Spellbinders Snowdrift, Purple Mist, Lilac Blossom, Royal Amethyst and Brushed Silver Cardstock. The pieces were adhered together using Bearly Art Glue and then adhered to the base using Bearly Art Glue and thin foam tape. I hot foiled a sentiment from the Spellbinders Always and Forever Sentiment Strip Press Plate & Die Set onto white cardstock using Spellbinders Silver Foil. It was then die cut out using coordinating die. I added Spellbinders Fashion Silver Embellishments to the scissors and then adhered the sentiment with thin foam tape. SPELLBINDERS CLUB KITS I hope that you will check out the Spellbinders Club Kits. It is a wonderful monthly subscription where you receive the kit each month. Designers like myself share inspiration using the kit at the beginning of the month to show you lots of different ways that you can use it. To buy the kit - if you are a current subscriber to the Large Die of the Month Club Kit (or any kit), you do not need to do anything. You will be charged as normal on the 5th of the month and your kit will be shipped to you. If you are a new subscriber, you can purchase the kit from the 6th - 27th April 2024. Members can cancel their membership at any time. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. Without the pins in the top, the jar fits inside of an A2 sized envelope, but since I added them, I'll have to make a custom envelope for this card! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day!
This is a card I made a little while ago for one of my good friends' to try and make her smile! I have simply taken a a layer of PTI SS White CS and layered two pieces of paper from the DB Hello Spring Collection that have been cut to look like hills/grass and added these to the bottom of the panel. I have then stamped the flowers, stem and greeting from the Paper Smooches Friendly Flowers set and coloured the flower with B32 and B34 Copics, the stem and leaves with G24 and G28 and then the greeting lightly with B32 and a blender pen. I have then wrapped the panel with DB Doodle Twine in Bubble Blue and added the panel to a white card base with 3D adhesive squares. Supplies: Thanks so much for visiting me today, what lovely weather we are having here in Surrey. I don't want it to get any hotter though, I don't do heat well! It is my Birthday tomorrow ... yay! You have until tonight at 23.59 hours to enter my candy draw.
Hello there, I am back today to share the Easter card I have made for my mum. I saw this super cute Stamping Bella stamp and couldn't resist it. I started off by taking a SSS Stitched Rectangle die and cutting this using white cardstock. I then stamped the image on to this using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The image was then coloured in using Copic Markers. I took an A2 white card base and ran this through my Cuttlebug using the PTI Guide Lines Grid Embossing Plate. The stamped panel was then added on top using foam tape. To finish off, I added Wink of Stella to the flower, as well as Glossy Accents to the centre of the flower and the chick's beak. Hello there, I am delighted to be over on the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel today, sharing a card using the Micest Friend set from the December 2023 release. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by stamping the mouse and cake/cheese from the MFT YUZU Micest Friend Stamp Set onto white cardstock using black ink. I coloured them using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies list) and then die cut them out using the MFT YUZU Micest Friend Die-namics. I took a panel of white cardstock and using the images as a guide for placement, stamped the sentiment from the set on top using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. I then added memo tape above the sentiment to mask off the 'ground'. I added ink blending above using Tim Holtz Wilted Violet Distress Ink. I removed the tape and adhered the panel to a US A2 sized white card base with tape runner adhesive. I then adhered the images with foam tape. To finish off, I added black glaze pen to the mouse's eyes and clear glaze pen to his nose. I also added Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard to the stars on the cake.
