******* There are so many punches and dies, and so many different ways to use and combinate them. My tutorial today is a 3D frame card, where I have used a lot of punches and dies. You can of course use the tutorial step by step, but I also hope to give you inspiration to play and find your own variants. ******* Here you can see the tools I have used for my card. But of course you don`t need the exsact same things. The point is to play with what you have. ******* I start with two pices of cardstock. The big one is 5” / 6 3/4”, and fits an “around the page” punch. The second cardstock is a little bit smaller, depending on wich border punch you have used. To make the frames I have used two different sized Spellbinders. ******* Now I turn the small cardstock, and draw a rectangle around the frame. ******* I use my bone folder to score the lines. ******* Turn the cardstock again, and you can see your scored frame. ******* I take the patterned paper I want to use, and cut it to fit the small frame. Spare the left over, you will need it later. Brett et dobbelt kort i den størrelsen du ønsker. ******* Now fold a card in the size you like. My folded card is just a little bit smaller than the big frame. My left over paper I now fasten in the center of the card, and I also decorate the small frame with patterned paper. Nå er det på tide å ta frem lim putene. Begge rammene har her fått 3D puter på baksiden. ******* It is time to use some 3D pads. Here both my frames have got 3D pads on the back. ******* Here you can see how I have mounted the card. I start with the small frame, and attach the big frame on top. Her er kortet mitt ferdig. ******* My card is all done. I have used an oval Spellbinder for my vintage picture, and mounted it to two more Spellbinder ovals. Beside roses and some pearls, I have decorated my card with a flower made by three Spellbinder dies, a butterfly from Martha Stewart, a swirl from Magnolia, and leaves from EK Success. ******* Here is another card built the exact same way. See how different it looks. ****** I hope you got inspired to play with punches and dies. Have fun, and good luck with your card.

Some stamps and dies are made so that you stamp first, then the die is basically an outline so you can line it up on the stamped image and cut it out. Other dies are made “solid”, so you have to cut them out, then line your clear stamp on ... Read More

Hey there. With the time changing tonight to Daylight Savings time, it has me thinking the spring has GOT to get here eventually, right? Spring always makes me think of Easter, which is why I have this card for you...
Again - I used pieces from my table for this card. The card base is gray with speckles. I had already punched the border (with a Martha Stewart punch) and scored two lines above the punching. I added a strip of plum cardstock to the inside of the card to show under the punching. Then I added a strip of the same cardstock above the scoring and added two more scored lines. I die cut the "thanks" with a Cuttlebug die and glued it resting on the strip of cardstock. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I used Karen Burniston's Ring Accordion to create this stunning holiday card. I cut the ornament topper (included in the Ring Accordion) from Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz - looks just like metal. The holly from the Candle die set was cut from white cardstock that had Double Sided Adhesive applied to it then covered with Peridot Silk Microfine Glitter and the little berries were cut from Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. The Season's was cut from Basic Black cardstock. I added Holly Flourish around the first ring, holly & pine branches from Candle was added to the middle ring and bows from Ornament Set 3 were added to the first and last ring. I die cut an opening in the center ring so the ornament from Ornament Set 3 would dangle. The glittered ornament is hanging from a jump ring attached to the top part of an ornament topper cut from Silver Metallic Shimmer Sheetz. I just sandwiched the little ornament topper between the layers. This card took a really long time to complete, but I love how it turned out. The other side of the middle ornament is cut from Peridot Shimmer Sheetz and Whisper White cardstock. Happy Stamping, Raquel To purchase Stampin' Up! products, please visit my online store. Papers: Pink Pirouette, Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Spring Vintage designer paper Inks: Rose Red, Always Artichoke Accessories: Two Step Bird Punch, Framed Tulips embossing folder, Always Artichoke seam binding. Again, I borrowed the idea from another demonstrator here and again made modifications. Making the bud: Punch out one wing per bud in Always Artichoke card stock. Sponge edges with Always Artichoke ink Cut a small V-shaped notch at the round end of the wing. Punch out one wing per bud in Pink Pirouette. Sponge edges with Rose Red Ink. Punch out 3 branches and leaves in Always Artichoke and sponge the edges. To make the bud, place the pink wing, pointed side up behind the green notched wing, making it look like the bud is emerging from the green wing. Mount on card as illustrated in picture. This flower was shown on this blog and again I modified he design. The new Shadow Box Dies from Xcut are simple to use but make your card look complicated. There are six all together Fun Fair, Street Scene, Theatre, Forrest, Woodlands and Ballroom. I am going to show you some of the designs I have made so far. When cutting out these dies you will need between 5-7 sheets of A5 sized paper. I found this was the easiest size to work with as you need to leave enough space to cut out a frame and have enough paper either side to layer up you projects. I will provide you with a step by step guide later as these dies do take a while to work out. Here is the Theatre Shadow box die, and this can be adapted in several ways. I have used Papermania embossing powder on the characters to give them a festive feel. You can either cut away a section of the card to add dimension or layer the different cut outs on top of each other and then adhere it to the card. the dies can be layered up in any order and can be combined with each other. I used a Marianne ballerina die to customise this congratulations card which was made with the Capsule Collection Eau de Nil and Parisanne Blue papers. I used the vintage download papers off the creativity club to create this card. The Street Scene Die can be used for all occasions, here I used the capsule collection spots and stripe jewel range to create this candy cane village. But you could use dark colours and adapt it into an Halloween card. The Fun Fair die is my favourite one so far and can be used with different colours to create cards for different occasions. for this one I used the Daisy Blue digital downloads. I will be back later with a demonstration on how you can used these dies on a layout.
Dziękuję za każde pozostawione tu słowo i pozdrawiam serdecznie :)

Spellbinders is releasing some new dies made for stitching - they're called "Spring into Stitching". There are 4 different designs; over the next couple of days I'll be showing you 2 of them. Today I'm playing with the Stitched Flower set. First up, a card in happy yellows. supplies: white, 2 yellows, and green card, yellow dotty dp from Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Rainbow pad, Stitched Flower dies, 2 yellows and brown embroidery floss, Doodlebug tiny heart sprinkles, (retired) Hero Arts/Studio Calico sentiment I used the multi-leaf sprig die that is included in this set, and stitched my flowers on colored cardstock, matching my floss as best I could to the 2 shades of yellow Now here's a cool version., this time stitching on white cardstock. supplies: white and Surf Blue card, Stitched Flower dies, embroidery floss, Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle die, a retired MFT sentiment I used 3 strands of floss for my stitching. I love the lacey effect that the flower edges have! This would make a terrific beginner's set for anyone who hasn't done stitching before......each of the elements is small, and you can do as many as you'd like, then build them together for a bouquet. There are incised guidelines in the dies to help guide your stitching. And for those of us who have done stitching in the past, here's a nice use for all that floss we still have! Many thanks to Spellbinders for sharing these dies with me; they were just what I needed to spend a relaxing afternoon.
