200 designs, I can’t believe it! The years have passed so quickly, I have had so much fun - and the knitting needles have not rested:) Number 200 had to be special, and I am really proud to present my summer-top. *Design and construction.** The main-feature of this top is the circular, lace-patterned yoke. The hems of the sleeves and the lower body are worked in pattern. The rounded neckline, the sleeves and lower body are finished off with an i-cord bind-off. The top is worked top-down and seamlessly. The lace-pattern might seem a bit elabortate, in fact it is simple and awarding to knit. Sizes Finished chest measurements, after washing/blocking, and worked at gauge: 77/85/93.5/102/110/120/132 cm = 30.5/33.5/37/40/43.5/47/52”. Materials Yarn: I recommend that you use a fingering weight, that knits up to gauge, to work the top. I used “Lin” from Järbo garn to work the top. This fingering weight, linen yarn comes in skeins of 100 gr/3.53 oz and 200 m/219 yards. You will need approximately 600/650/760/820/880/940/1000 m = 654/709/829/894/960/1025/1090 yards of this specific yarn to work the top. Needles: size 3 mm/US2.5, Gauge 24 sts and 32-34 rounds in stockinette sts, after blocking/washing = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”. Knitting skills Intermediate. Techniques used: provisonal cast-on (optional), short-rows, increases, i-cord bind-off. The pattern The pattern gives instructions for the provisional cast-on, the short-rows and the i-cord bind-off. The lace-pattern of the yoke is charted, as well as written out, round-by-round. The pattern of the hems is written out round-by-round. All stitch-counts are given. Measurements are given in cm’s as well as in inches. There is a schematic. Possible mods: As with all top-down sweaters you have the possibility of adding length to the sleeves and/or the body.

If you purchase both pattern (the GARDEN cardigan and the GARDEN pullover) or have purchased one previously, the second one is 50% off! No code needed My goal for the GARDEN cardigan was an open front cardigan that stays on the shoulders while working in the garden, with a nice neckline to keep your neck warm and a super easy to knit lace texture for a lightweight fabric. And yes, it has a hidden pocket on the inside :) GARDEN Cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. You start working the back for the length of the armhole. Then you pick up the stitches for the front and work both fronts symmetrically for the length of the armhole. Then you join back and fronts to work the body in stitch pattern down to the bottom ribbing. Pick up the sleeve sts to work the sleeves both alike top down in rounds in stitch pattern. Optional attach the patch pocket. Beside of weaving in the ends, there is no further finishing required. This is our first collaboration pattern between me and my sister Amy Meeks indigoamy. As many may know, our oldest sister Wendy lived a short 34 years but those years were full of random acts of kindness, generosity and COLOR. She brightened many lives during her short time on earth, and now she brings color to the Heavens. This 3-color wrap represents us three sisters, two colors that play well together, then one color that “pops,” “wows” and makes a statement, just like Wendy. Approximate total yardage for each color is as follows: Color A = 50 g (~160 yds) Color B = 70 g (~ 225 yds) Color C (Pop Color) = 55 g (~ 175 yds) Hope you enjoy watching these three colors create a beautiful garment.
For pattern support, please find the questions thread here Kallias is an open front cardigan and is worked seamlessly from the top down. Knitting starts with the back part of the neckband. Stitches are then picked up from the long edge of the neckband to work the back part of the yoke first. Increases along the slanted shoulder “seam” are worked on both RS and WS rows. Once the final back width is reached, the back is worked back and forth in slip stitch ribbing to underarm. Stitches for the fronts (left and right front) are picked up from the shoulder “seam” to work the fronts back and forth to underarm. At underarm both fronts and back are joined to work the body top down back and forth to the short row shaped bottom hem. As the front ribbing is built in, there is no finishing required. A simple striped top that can make your fingering weight yarns shine. The top is knit with two skeins of handdyed yarn, of which one is partly dyed, and one skein of undyed yarn. Instead of an undyed skein it is also possible to use a color that is present in one of the other yarns. This will make the stripes blend together. Stockinette and garter stripes give it an interesting texture. The top has an easy construction, knit in two squares and then sewn together. If wanted, the length and width can be easily adjusted. Choose a size with no ease or slight positive ease for a loose fit. Sizes S (M, L) Finished Bust Sizes 88 (96, 104)cm/ 34.5 (38, 41)” Gauge 23 stitches x 34 rows per 4”/10cm, blocked, in alternately 4 row garter - 4 row stockinette stitch. I came up with this cute stitch pattern for a hat and loved it so much that I dearly wanted to make an all over textured sweater with it with an elegant high collar! I named it armor stitch, but it’s so easy and fun to do, it must exist already. Please let me know if it looks familiar to you! Thank you! The ARMOR sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Start working the collar in the collar stitch pattern and then increase for the armor stitch pattern. Then the yoke is worked with raglan increases to sleeve separation. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold, underarm sts are cast on, and you continue to work the body in armor stitch to the bottom. After the body is completed, the sleeve sts are picked up again to work the sleeves top down in armor stitch in the round to the end. This pattern has been technically edited and tested. The cardigan is knitted flat using a top-down approach, beginning with a 1x1 rib neckband. Next, the back neckline is raised by using German short rows. The button bands and the fronts are worked simultaneously and raglan increases are integrated up to the underarm. The sleeve stitches are set aside while the body is worked to the hem. Sleeves are worked top-down in the round. Knitting Pattern in English for a Summery Raglan Tee with a Checked Lace Pattern, a Round Neck and Short Sleeves in Sizes XS/S | M/L (L/XL | XL/2XL) Structure: The shirt is worked top down with raglan increases and a checked lace pattern. To shape the round neck, you work for a few centimeters back and forth in rows before you are going to close the round neck and work the yoke in rounds. After separating the sleeves from the body, the body is finished in lace pattern in rounds. A hem in 1x1 twisted ribbing is attached to the body. Afterwards, the resting sleeve stitches are picked up again and new stitches are picked up directly out of the body before the sleeves are finished in rounds in lace pattern. Shortly before the cuffs there are worked in a few decreases for a slight sleeve shaping. The cuff is worked in 1x1 twisted ribbed pattern. Now stitches are picked up again around the neckline and a collar in 1x1 twisted ribbing is attached to the round neck. The fit of the tee is close to the body and has no or a little positive ease of up to 10 cm. A negative ease of up to 5 cm is possible too. If you are in between two sizes, I recommend to choose the smaller size. The highlight of the tee is the lace pattern reminding of a checked pattern creating an airy and breezy garment perfect for cooler summer days and warmer spring days Level of Difficulty: medium to advanced Materials: 400 | 400 (500 |500) g “The Cotton“ by We Are Knitters (212 m/100 g) 4.5 mm circular knitting needles and 3.5 mm DPNs (additionally 4.5 mm short needles for the sleeves if preferred) Darning needle Stitch markers or leftovers Knitting Tension: 10x10 cm = 17 sts x 23 rs in pattern on 4.5 mm knitting needles (wet blocked) Measurements: Bust Circumference Finished Tee: 92 | 105 (116 | 129) cm with a positive ease of 0 to 10 cm or anegative ease of 0 to 5 cm. The pattern comes with the short and the long version I use to call these type of sweaters ‘Collar with sleeves’ :) because I am here for a maximum warm neck … and a good shoulder fit of course The REBEL cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. Start working the collar separately. Then the back stitches are picked up from the collar and the upper back is shaped with increases. Stitches are then picked up from each side of the back to work the shoulders. All pieces are then joined to work the yoke with increases for the body and sleeves down to sleeve separation. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold, underarm sts are cast on, and you continue to work the body to the bottom. After the body is completed, the sleeve sts are worked top down in the round to the end. Beside of weaving in the ends, there is no further finishing required. Cardigan - “Dagi” This cardigan was designed by me a long time ago. My intention with this colorwork design was to create an easy pattern for knitters who want to get started on Fair-Isle technique without the next big jump into steeking. My greatest challenge while writing the pattern was the different gauges with the colorwork and plain stitches. So, I have not stopped writing down this pattern until it worked out finally just perfect. The trick was to use a top-down construction. I have knitted this cardigan several times myself. As you might guess, we really love this garment and I hope you will love it as well! also available in a steekable version General information for construction The sweater is constructed as a top-down design. The body is knitted back and forth and the sleeves are knitted in the round. The garment has a slightly positive ease with max. 5 cm/1-2” (optional body shaping).
