Antique circa 1910 red white and blue pinwheel pattern hand pieced and hand quilted quilt. Low loft with cotton batting, fabric is lightweight cotton in various solids and stripes. Wide 9" solid red border on 3 sides, white cotton backing. Has been washed over the years so there is a slight pink tint to the white cotton, some fading to the reds, scattered seam splits in blocks, scattered wear thru to batting in red pieces. Still very usable, some of the reds are a bit fragile, so machine washing is not recommended. less

The Rockets Red Glare! Celebrate the patriotic holidays with this great modern take on red, white and blue. This quilt measures 64" x 78" and is made from 100% quilters cotton with warm and natural batting. This striking quilt is a combination of geometric red and blue interlocking squares with a striking blue backing. Pattern is by Lisa Sutherland . Quilted in my home studio on my Bernina Q24. Stitched with a variegated thread that accentuâtes the beautiful wandering star pantograph design and machine sewn binding. Care: Machine wash gentle, cold water and air tumble dry. For best results use a color catcher for the first washing.

All quilts are made from 100% high quality cotton, with an all over quilting design that permanently connects all three layers of the quilt together with beautiful stitching. This quilt was pieced and quilted entirely in my non-smoking studio, here in Owingsville, KY. This quilt is washable is cold water only, with mild detergent. **************************************************************** HOW QUILTS ARE MADE The top layer of the quilt is sewn together, piece by piece, on my Bernina 440 machine. Colors and fabric designs are carefully chosen and coordinated prior to cutting and stitching. Creating the quilt top is typically the longest part of the process. The middle layer is hidden, inside the top and bottom layer, and is a soft layer of batting of premium cotton. The bottom or back layer of the quilt is made of only one fabric, which can be a solid or print that coordinates with the top. All three layers are sandwiched together, then carefully quilted in an all over pattern for the quickest result. *********************************************************************************** CARE INSTRUCTIONS All quilts can be machine washed in cold water, and machine dried. With each wash, the quilt will become softer.
