In this book an attempt has been made by proposing some inferential techniques for linear regression models by using various types of residuals other than OLS residuals.Chapter I contains the general introduction about the concept of residuals in regression analysis. Various types of residuals and their properties have been described in chapter II. The literature on residual analysis and regression diagnostics have been reviewed in chapter III. In particular, it is discussed about examination of residual plots diagnostics for identifying unusual data points, detection of influential subsets, until applications of residuals. Chapter IV contains the proposed methods under is the contributory one in which outliers are detected; Leverage and influential points are identified; Goldfeld-Quandt test statistics computed to know the heteroscodastocity; Chow test statistic is computed to know the structural change and Durbin-Waston test statistic is competed to know the autocorrelation using different types of residuals.

The volume of microplastics from paint on steel surfaces that enter the ocean every year could be as high as 1.5-2.25 million tons, equivalent to 150-225 billion empty plastic bottles. Putting these new figures in context, they account for a meaningful percentage of the 8 million tons of plastic that is estimated to end up in the oceans each year.
The study sought to investigate, using daily data, whether share prices respond to rights issue announcements in Zimbabwe for the period 2009 to 2012.The study was prompted by the need to recommend the feasibility of rights issues as a re-financing option. The standard market model was used to determine the expected returns for stocks of individual firms based on an estimation window of 119 to 15 days prior the rights offer announcement. Normality of residuals was tested using the Jarque-Bera test. Using a sample of 12 firms that issued rights offers between February 2009 and November 2012, the study shows a positive cumulative average abnormal return of 0.1338 noted in the 10 day period prior the announcement; followed by a negative statistically significant average abnormal return of -0.0031 on the announcement date, tested using the non-parametric rank test. It is recommended that, despite the need to recapitalize, firms must postpone rights offers till stocks are overpriced. This is based on the concrete evidence pointing to share value decrease post rights issue announcements for the selected counters.

Vermicomposting is a process that relies on earthworms and microorganisms to help stabilize active organic materials and convert them to a valuable soil amendment and source of plant nutrients. Earthworms will consume most organic materials, including food preparation residuals and leftovers, scrap paper, animal manure, agricultural crop residues, organic byproducts from industries, and yard trimmings Up to 75 percent of what is discarded by communities and businesses are organic materials. Instead of disposing of food scraps, yard wastes, and other organics, the materials can be vermicomposted. This method of recycling converts organic materials that have traditionally been viewed as waste
This book describes the analysis of transformations and their applications in regression analysis. Some new estimation procedures for estimating the parameters of the various Box and Cox transformation regression models with Autoregressive/Moving Average Process have been developed by using internally studentized residuals. The lagged dependent variable is induded as a regressor in the extended Box and Cox transformation regression model and then estimated its parameters by using the maximum likelihood estimation. In this book, it has been made to described the analysis of transformations and their applications in regression analysis.
The Madcap gents are mad, mad, mad for their two pound-rescue pugs (Cecil and Weenie), and this spot-on scatter rug is an homage to these frisky little monkeys. John started painting and sketching the pugs (particularly star-of-the-show, Weenie) one afternoon, and this is the result. A charming pug stands tall amidst a sea of fresh-plucked flowers surrounded by a whimsical, scallop-edged border. A new classic. P.S. Weenie just asked for residuals. Smart little pug! Students will practice creating linear models/best-fit lines/least squares regression and determining residuals. This activity requires no prep - just print, copy, and go! What is a circuit? Students begin with question #1, solve the problem then look for the answer on the worksheet. When they find the answer to #1, they label that problem #2, and so on. The answer to the last problem will lead them back to #1. This provides a self-checking component. What's Included: 14 problems - 7 that require students to determine a linear model/line of best fit and 7 that require students to determine residuals Solutions Please download the preview to ensure this product is appropriate for you and your students.
