Aaaarghhh....
I've been having another play with my SAB stamps, ribbons and papers - the promotion ends in just two weeks and it's gone so fast! My first card is pretty self explanatory: Materials used: stamps - Fresh Vintage, Petite Pairs card - calypso coral, wisteria wonder, whisper white other - designer frames E/F, Big Shot, SAB ribbon, pearl, markers, wide oval punch, sponge dauber, dimensionals For my next card I played with some of the brand new products that are coming in the Autumn/Winter mini on April 1st. Here I used the Adorning Accents edgelits die with the matching embossing folder - soooooooooo gorgeous! I think you may eventually get sick of this combo cos I'm gonna be using it A LOT! Another new product is the lovely daffodil paper - it's from a set called Attic Boutique. Materials used: stamps - Fresh Vintage, Petite Pairs card - daffodil delight, white linen (non SU) other - Attic Boutique DSP, markers, Adorning Accents edgelits die, Adorning Accents E/F Now for a touch of the dramatic, I've paired black with pink. Between the white embossing, flocked paper and (brand new) pleated satin ribbon, this card is a tactile dream! Materials used: stamps - Elementary Elegance card - basic black, Mocha Morning DSP, blushing bride other - Versamark ink, white embossing powder, heat tool, blushing bride pleated satin ribbon, curly label punch, dimensionals And last but not least a taste of whimsy with Outlined Occasions and the cupcake punch. Materials used: stamps - Outlined Occasions, Sweet Little Sentiments (retired) card - pool party, calypso coral, whisper white, poppy parade, Domestic Goddess DSP, Everyday Enchantment DSP other - markers, SAB ribbon, cupcake punch, dimensionals, Kindy Glitz, stamp-a-ma-jig, 32 mm and 35 mm circle punches, scallop circle punch, nestabilities die Hope you're enjoying your free SAB goodies too! Thanks for calling in. Cheers Kez
Hi Friends!! After Awana this evening, I had a chance to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card for the Splitcoaststampers’ CC550 Color Challenge (optional dessert is sky) and I am so thankful that I can finally participate in this week's color challenge before the challenge officially "ends" (well, they are open "forever" technically but at least before next week's starts) :-) I decided to combine the challenge with the SC560 Sketch Challenge and the CAS308 New Year’s Resolution Challenge (depict something that you will be trying to accomplish this year- I am still playing “catch up” on the 2015 CAS Challenges). This retired stamp set has always held a special place in my studio and this image along with the verse sentiment is definitely "a goal of mine" this year- to trust in the Lord with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding. I am trusting in Him for strength and healing for my husband, wisdom for our upcoming retirement and finances as well as growing in my knowledge of the Bible and "resting" in Him with Bible Study and Bible Art Journaling. October will be a very busy month for me for card designing- I am now on four Design Teams as a regular member (The Card Concept, SUO Challenges, Sweet –n- Sassy Stamps and "fifth Thursday" SCS "Free For All" Challenge sample maker) and will be participating on four different Design Teams as a Guest Designer for October (Our Daily Bread Designs and the other three will be announced as each is announced on the challenge blogs). The "toes in the water" on the stamped focal image reflects the steps that I am taking with my stamping and venturing into different avenues of styles and designs- I love anything that has to do with art and, of course, stamping and am trying to design at least one card each day! As always, I find that Splitcoaststampers is the best site for stamping inspiration and I hope you will find the time to check out each of the above gallery links- gorgeous samples by all! To create this card: Ink the image from the retired set, Summer By The Sea using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock. Color using an AquaPainter™ and ink from the Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist and Soft Sky Stampin’ Write Markers (also using ink from the Soft Sky Classic Ink Pad for the sky mixed with the Marina Mist Marker). Add additional black details with the Faber-Castell® Black Pitt Pen Marker (I added three birds, extended the boat image and added a water line for the horizon) and add a few white highlights to the water with the Faber-Castell® White Pitt Pen Marker. Use the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker to add shadows and once the panel is dry, cut it out with the Big Shot™ and the retired Window Collection Framelits™ die. Another view- straight on :-) Which view do you prefer?? Stamp the verse sentiment from Trust God using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, trim and mount the strip of Daffodil Delight and embossed Marina Mist cardstock (embossed with the Big Shot™ and the retired Square Lattice Textured Impressions™ Embossing Folder), trim once more and add the ¼” knotted Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. Mount the panel onto a piece of Marina Mist cardstock, trim and mount onto the Daffodil Delight card base. Add the focal image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals® to finish off the card. Stamp Sets: Summer By The Sea (retired), Trust God Ink: Stāz-On® Jet Black, Soft Sky; Stampin’ Write Markers- Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand; Faber-Castell® White and Black Pitt Pen Markers Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist Accessories: AquaPainter™, Big Shot™, Retired Products- Window Collection Framelits™, Square Lattice Textured Impressions™, ¼” Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon Thanks again for stopping by- I hope all of you have a terrific Thursday! Hugs to you, my friends!

Very excited today as was playing around trying to create different beach scenes as the weather is so hot and sunny and I came up with an idea of how to turn the Beautiful You lady into a bikini clad beach babe. Wearing a hat in the sea and putting lots of sunscreen on has become the norm these days so she certainly looks very at home in this scene. Stampin Up Products Used Beautiful You, High Tide and Colourful Seasons stamp sets Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight and Tranquil Tide ink pads Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry Stampin Write Markers Calypso Coral Watercolour Pencil Love coming up with new and different ideas and Beautiful You has always inspired me.

I, somehow, turned that quick-and-easy idea into a fun cardmaking session. I reached to four new products from Stampin' Up!'s 2017
I'm going to take you step-by-step through a very basic process for creating one dimensional collages with stamped images.

I used the Stampin’ Up! So Refreshing stamp set bundle to create a thank you card to share with you today. I made this project out on Instagram this morning and you can see it here.
Let's build on the simple stamped collage technique we used last week and add to it more variables to create collages with more elements and depth.

Hi Welcome to Week 2 at CASE-ing the Catty. I hope you will find time to join us this week as we explore the Memory Keeping section of the catalogue. CASE - The acronym stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. The latest Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue certainly encourages crafters to do just that as it is jam packed with amazing, inspirational projects. The idea is to feature a section of the Stampin' Up! ® catalogue each week using the projects in the catty as inspiration. You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations. Here's a Badge to paste to your blog: Guidelines Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking) Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun. Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country's catalogue where you got your inspiration. SUO products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges. So let's go! My project was CASE-d from page 39 of the catalogue which features a gorgeous kraft page decorated with the Postage Due stamp set, some washi tape and paper doilies. Here's the original: Here's my CASE: I used Crumb Cake card stock for my base card and stamped layer. I stamped the Postage Due stamp using the new In Color of Mossy Meadow ink which is lovely rich deep green, I copied the original by using my Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Blade to create a scalloped edge down the left hand side. I added a strip of Epic Day Washi Tape. My sentiment is from Perfect Pennants, stamped on Very Vanilla in Mossy Meadow and die cut with the matching Banners Framelits. I decorated this with a peek of a Tea Lace Paper Doiley, a banner of Pear Pizzazz DSP and an Ampersand clip from the Essentials Hardware Clips pack. I stamped my envelope too just to bring it all together nicely. :) I hope you like my card and are inspired to play along with us....be sure to visit my online store to browse all these items and more! Cheers Alison xx Materials used: Stamp: Postage Due, Perfect Pennants Ink - Mossy Meadow Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz DSP Accessories - Tea Lace Paper Doiley, Essentials Hardware Clips Tools - Big Shot, Banners Framelits, Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Blade, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Hello again :) Its Blog Hop time again and this month we are playing with the Colour Theory Suite from Stampin'Up! Now this suite is just great and I really wanted to showcase a few projects but story of my life..... so much to do so little time after having all that time away, sad as I am I only managed a card to share with you. Its a pretty card if that counts more :) The matching Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies have this comfy looking deck chair and I seized the opportunity to use it as my focal point for this Retirement Card. The Yellow matting layer came from the Color Theory Memories and More pack, this is a perfect example how fabulously well and easy our products work for cards as well as memory keeping. Well I know, I could have done a much better job at convincing you, IF I would have managed to show you a Memories and More layout. MUST TRY HARDER you just need to trust me on it for now :) Here's a closer look of the other small details The chair was cut from the Wood Texture Designer Paper Stack by Stampin' Up!, some Burlap Ribbon was laid across for extra texture, made a bow out of the the Gold Mini Sequin Trim tied with a few strands of linen thread. Thank you so much for joining me today, I really appreciate your visit now please hop to the adorable Amy Koenders in the US to see what delights she has ready for you this month, till next time xoxo Monica MonicaGale-UK -(you are here) Amy Koenders - USA Rochelle Block - Australia Sandi MacIver - Canada Paula Dobson - New Zealand Caroline Van der Straaten - Netherlands BarbaraBecker-Austria Nadine Koeller - Germany MoiraMcllroy-France
